Senior Consultants are integral members of Guidehouse teams and contribute to all levels of the consulting process. Life Sciences Senior Consultants are responsible for the day-to-day management of consulting assignments and have regular interactions with clients. Your specific responsibilities include: analyzing scientific, clinical, financial and strategic information to discern the business implications of new technologies and emerging trends; conducting primary research interviews with clinicians, thought leaders, and executives in the healthcare industry and related fields; managing and mentoring junior staff; and preparing and presenting written reports to senior management and clients. Travel is project dependent but averages 20 percent. The Life Sciences practice encourages career development and hiring for the long term. Senior Consultants follow a clearly defined career path and continue to deepen their knowledge in the field of healthcare and the practice of consulting. As Senior Consultants hone their project management skills and ability to manage multiple work streams, they progress to the position of Managing Consultant. Common Patient Services projects include: Defining patient treatment journeys, identifying potential Patient Services engagement points, key barriers, and areas of unmet need to inform design of potential PS offerings Conducting secondary market research on competitor/analog offerings Conducting primary market research with a range of stakeholders to identify needs & validate potential support Develop Patient Services Program Blueprints and detailed program designs, including defining the desired customer experience, the mix of programs and services, and level of support provided Supporting the requirements definition and operational build out of both in-house and outsourced PS HUBs & additional related programs (e.g., financial support, treatment management support) Defining methodologies to measure and benchmark the effectiveness of PS program performance; analyze metrics to provide strategic insights Engaging executive level audiences to deliver actionable insights and recommendations Supporting the identification of business development opportunities & subsequent pull through of business development activities (e.g., proposal development, scoping) Developing and managing junior staff development What You Will Need : Bachelor’s degree. 3-5 years of transferrable consulting or work experience in Patient Services and related functions. Must be willing and able to travel to client sites across the US, up to 20% of the time. Authorized to work for any US employer without sponsorship. We're seeking experienced Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine Providers to join our team in the Pittsburgh area. This is an excellent opportunity to work independently across multiple conveniently located sites with strong support staff.
What You'll Do:As an Urgent Care Provider, you'll manage a diverse range of conditions, including:
- Common Illnesses: Cold/flu symptoms, rashes, minor burns.
- Minor Injuries: Abrasions, lacerations, sprains, and fractures requiring splinting.
- Procedures: Suturing/wound care, I&Ds (incision and drainage), X-rays/EKGs, drawing blood, IVs, and injections.
- You'll see patients of all ages, with an average volume of 3-4 patients per hour.
- Anything high acuity will be referred to the local Emergency Room.
You'll float between our sites multiple sites. These locations are no more than 30 miles apart, making travel convenient. Each site will be staffed with 1-3 providers per day. Medical assistants and radiology technologists will be on-site to assist you. If a physician is not on-site, one will be remotely available for escalation.
What We're Looking For:- Experience:
- ABEM Certified: Minimum 1 year of experience in Emergency Medicine.
- ABFM or ABIM Certified: Minimum 2 years of experience in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care.
- All Candidates: Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in urgent care or 1 year of experience in emergency medicine.
- Skills:
- Comfortable seeing patients of all ages .
- Proficient with orthopedic procedures (splinting) and wound care .
- Willingness to work independently (no direct supervision required on-site, but remote physician support is available).
- Availability: Minimum of 3 consistent shifts per month to be considered for part-time, or 12+ shifts per month for full-time. Our sites operate Mon-Sun, 8 AM - 8 PM.

GENERAL OVERVIEW:
Under the direction of the provider and as a member of the health care team, assists in coordinating the examination, treatment and health care planning for patients. Assists with other office functions to support patient care and office operations. Follows all established protocols, policies, procedures and standardized workflows.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Using the team based approach, assists in the coordination of patient care under supervision of the health care provider.
+ Prepares and rooms patients within the clinical practice setting according to standardized work flows. Accurately obtains patient vital signs, documents patient information, patient history, tobacco, and medication screening. May assist in the administration of depression screening tools. Completes annual wellness visit screenings. Reviews, updates and screens medication list in the EHR. Reviews social history with patient and updates record. If applicable, pends/''cues up'' orders for required age appropriate screenings, patient prescriptions, refills, or other orders based on AHN approved protocols.
+ Performs back office testing following approved AHN protocols and policies.
+ Assists providers with examination and procedures.
+ May serve as a scribe with additional training.
+ Provides follow up with patients at designated intervals via patient's preferred method (telephone, electronic, written) in accordance with provider instructions. Notifies patients of test results under the direction of provider in a timely manner.
+ Prepares exam room for patient visit. Ensures adequate inventory of medical supplies. Ensures all patient treatment areas are at all times stocked with the appropriate supplies using established inventory standards.
+ Cleans and sterilizes instruments per established AHN approved policy and manufacturer's guidelines.
+ Accurately performs lab controls and equipment checks as assigned.
+ Administers and accurately documents medications in accordance with policy and safe practice.
+ Documents accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) according to established standards and work flows.
+ Accurately performs clerical office functions and other duties as assigned.
+ May require floating/travel between physician office locations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum
+ High School / GED
+ Completion of a Medical Assistant Program **OR** 1 year of Medical Assistant **OR** 1 year in a direct patient care role, including vital signs. Candidate experience must align with expected clinical duties (i.e., injections, phlebotomy, EKGs)
