An X-ray Tech serves an important purpose in a radiology department. The main role is to assist radiologists with the process of imaging, and not that of diagnosis as this is the key role of a physician. X-ray tech job description involves taking pictures of the body while utilizing various imaging methods. They are responsible for ensuring the patient's safety during the procedure. Technicians may be required to explain the procedure in layman terms to ensure a patient's comfort. Most importantly, the ability to produce a high-quality image consistently is crucial as this will help physicians to correctly provide diagnosis. Schedule: The center is open Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and on weekends 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

This position will work 4 days per week and 1 weekend per month.

Primary Responsibilities:

Will perform the following duties and responsibilities, which may include, but are not limited to:

• This position requires you to work between the x-ray and CT department
• Always ask for at least two forms of identification, (name, DOB)
• Instructing the patients to undergo the appropriate positions to get accurate images
• Keeping radiographic equipment in quality working order
• Obtaining images for any areas requested by the physician or radiologist
• Using radiation on the patient if necessary
• Keeping track of patient records
• Assisting radiologists and physicians in the process of understanding and evaluating the images
• Preventing exposure from certain areas of the patient's body so they do not expose to radiation
• Patient communication and preparation including removal of garments or jewelry that may interfere with procedure and explaining how the process works
• Positioning patients properly to obtain x-rays
• Setting the equipment to obtain the best density, detail, and contrast of the area being imaged
• Applying their knowledge of anatomy and physiology to the process to help the physician diagnose problems
• Must be able to closely follow physician instructions, prepare radiography equipment, position patients, and obtain optimal images for diagnosis
• Must be able to communicate calmly, compassionately, and professionally with all different types of patients including the elderly, ailing, and handicapped
• Apply HIPPA to every patient
• Putting reports in the patient chart after the Radiologist has read the images, and the report is dictated
• Check each patient's order before scanning the patient, if there are any questions with the order, make sure to ask the ordering physician

Job Summary:
Responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing, the operations of the Biomedical Engineering Department. Supervises the activities of the Biomedical Engineering Program through a subordinate supervisor. Also performs complex installations, repairs, calibrations and periodic/preventive maintenance and documentation of biomedical equipment. Supervises assigned staff.
Essential Responsibilities:
+ Plans, organizes, coordinates, and controls the overall operations of the Biomedical Engineering Program.
+ Develops and implements departmental policies and procedures, and ensures adherence of staff to established policies and procedures.
+ Plans and coordinates work assignments within the department.
+ Provides technical knowledge, skills and guidance to staff on all aspects of imaging, laboratory, surgical, clinical and other electronic equipment.
+ Coordinates the installation of medical equipment with various manufacturers, contractors, engineers, and architects and MMMC departments/personnel.
+ Manages and provides recommendations on service contracts.
+ Makes recommendations and assists in the preparation of capital equipment, personnel, expense and operating budgets.
+ Plans and projects needs for future personnel, training, test equipment, parts/back up equipment, and general assets.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience
+ Minimum six (6) years of experience showing that the applicant has gained a thorough knowledge of installation, repair, calibration, periodic maintenance and documentation of Type A (Clinical) and/or Type B (Imaging) equipment in the biomedical field in an acute care hospital setting.
+ Two (2) years shall have been as a fully competent worker in either Type A (Clinical) or Type B (Imaging) biomedical engineering experience.
+ Minimum two (2) years of Biomedical Engineering Technician Supervisor experience.
Education
+ High School Diploma.
+ Certificate of completion from a vocational school in the field of electronics, biomedical electronics or electronic technology OR an Associate of Science degree in electronics, electronic engineering, biomedical electronics or electronics technology from an accredited institution.
License, Certification, Registration
+ Driver's License (Hawaii)
Additional Requirements:
+ Knowledge of the overall requirements for effectively providing a wide range of biomedical services, including biomedical engineering principles and standard methods and techniques; operations and repair of biomedical equipment; electronic principles and theories; functions of different types of clinical and imaging equipment in a hospital; principles and practices of supervision; regulatory and accrediting standards.

- Supports testing, deployment, release, and post-release activities. They will work directly with engineering and others to optimize the working team model and ensure alignments across higher-level epics or requirements.

- Ensures that incremental learnings from product delivery are prioritized in the backlog.

· Leads the team to produce the product or experience demo and presents to stakeholders.
· Serves as the point of contact for feature delivery and works directly with other Product Management, Delivery, and/or business roles as needed to ensure broader alignment with the Epic/initiative.

**Required Qualifications**
- 7+ years required experience as a product owner, product manager, business analyst, or similar role on an agile team
- 5+ years required experience in software product management, with demonstrated success shipping software through multiple releases managing the entire lifecycle from discovery to launch in an agile environment
- 5+ years of experience overseeing end-to-end feature delivery, from requirements definition through launch and post-release optimization
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience with marketing technologies, sales enablement, and customer engagement workflows and systems
