**Shift** : 7:45 AM - 8:00 PM (weekdays) and 7:45 AM-5:00 PM (weekends). Split shift on Tuesdays (7:45 AM - 2:00 PM or 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM). Two consecutive 12-hour shifts during the week. Weekend to work includes 3 consecutive days (Fri- Sun) and weekend off is 3 consecutive days (Fri-Sun).

**The role you'll contribute:**
Reporting to the Practice Manager and under the supervision of the Providers, the Medical Assistant cares for patients and performs a wide variety of patient care activities. Adheres to state, federal and organizational guidelines to ensure quality care and patient safety with support from the Clinical Excellence team. Is essential in maintaining organization and facilitating patient flow. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

+ Performs properly and legibly documents and reports all procedures and assessments in accordance with department policy.
+ Utilizing age-specific guidelines, assesses patient during clinical check-in, documents pertinent medical information and vital signs. Assesses for signs of abuse or neglect.
+ Performs and administers treatments, medications and any follow-up assessments ordered by the provider, verifying as needed. Responds appropriately in clinical emergencies and triage situations
+ Performs diagnostic and occupational medicine testing to include, but not limited to, EKG, spirometry, audiometry, titmus and pulse oximetry. Completes forensic testing collections in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and State Drug Free Workplace Guidelines. This may include urine drug screens, blood/breath alcohol testing, oral fluids and hair testing.
+ Appropriately complete check-out duties and relays instructions/care to the patient or family
+ Performs required Quality Control checklist to ensure safety of the patient
+ Follows CDC guidelines, infection prevention practices, demonstrates appropriate use of PPE, performs hand washing according to policy and follows safety regulations.
+ Participates in departmental performance improvement initiatives
+ May be called upon to train newly hired clinical staff
**The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:**
**Minimum qualifications:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ 1 year of related work experience **OR** Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with completion of externship **OR** 6 months relevant experience within an AdventHealth facility
+ Must be currently certified and maintain certification by one of the following:
+ American Association of Medical Assistants ("AAMA") for Certified Medical Assistants
+ American Medical Certification Association ("AMCA") for Clinical Medical Assistant Certification

Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Registrar, you will be responsible for timely and accurate patient registration. You will also interview patients for all pertinent account information and verify insurance coverage.
What you will do in this role:
* Interview patients at workstation or at bedside to obtain all necessary account information. Bedside registration performed utilizing carts/computers on wheels
* Provide exemplary Customer Service
* Ensure charts are completed and accurate
* Verify all insurance and obtain pre-certification/authorization
* Calculate and collect patient liability amounts
* Ensure that all necessary signatures are obtained for treatments
* Process patient charts according to paperwork flow needs and established productivity standards
* Interview incoming patients, his/her relatives, or other responsible individuals to obtain identifying and demographical information with insurance and financial information
* Assign Insurance Plans (IPlans)accurately
* Verify insurance benefits and determine pre-certification/authorization status via online or other resources. If pre-certification/authorization/notification of admission is required and has not been obtained, initiate via Passport, on-line or phone call. Enter all information and authorization/referral numbers into the registration system.
* Secure all signatures necessary for treatments, release of medical information, assignment of insurance benefits, and payment of services from legally responsible parties. Obtain copies of necessary identification and insurance cards.

The Multi-Modality Imaging Technologist is required to perform invasive and non-invasive procedures on a variety of patients per the needs of the modality/department. The Multi-Modality Technologist must routinely work within a minimum of two qualifying modalities as directed by department managers/supervisors to meet the specific needs of the department. Performs all duties relating to the specific primary an d post primary imaging modalities in which they are working. This includes Diagnostic, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and Ultrasound. What qualifications you will need:
* Required Education: Graduate of an accredited Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JCERT) program.
* Required License: ARRT registered and hold post primary certification in a minimum of 1 additional qualifying discipline in which exams will be performed in the role of Multi-Modality Technologist OR must obtain registry and have current certification on credentialing website for specified imaging modality within specific timeframe as follows; a. Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center (BMNTC) is currently accepting applications for Registered Nurses.
The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to both Alzheimer's and Developmentally Disabled populations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Identifying and assessing residents needs/nursing/health needs.
2. Administering medications as directed by physicians.
3. Working closely with the medical staff to provide quality medical care.
4. Serving as "charge nurse" - overseeing daily nursing care, consisting of coordinating all licensed and non-licensed staff duties in accordance with Board of Nursing delegation and responsibilities.
The Registered Nurse is an integral part of the nursing team, which serves to provide an interdisciplinary approach to the care planning process of our residents.

THIS POSITION IS DESIGNATED MANDATORY AND MUST REPORT OR STAY OVER DURING ADVERSE WEATHER EVENTS AND/OR OTHER EMERGENCIES.
Shift preferences will be discussed in the interview and will depend on staffing needs. In addition to our traditional work schedules listed below, flexible schedules may be available.
1st shift (days) 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM
2nd shift (evenings) 2:45 PM - 11:15 PM
3rd shift (nights) 10:45 PM - 7:15 AM
Work schedules include weekend and holiday rotations. We offer 20% shift premium pay for 2nd and 3rd shift hours and 5% shift premium pay for hours worked on the weekends.
Flexibility is required for training/education purposes and to meet the needs of the facility.
Per G.S. 126-5 (c1) (37), this position is Exempt from all provisions of NC General Statute Chapter 126 (State Human Resources Act) with the exception of Articles 6 and 7.

Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center is one of three state operated facilities serving adults with chronic and complex medical conditions that co-exist with neurodevelopmental or neurocognitive disorders often related to a diagnosis of severe and persistent mental illness or intellectual disability. The health and physical status of these residents require 24-hour supervision, daily nursing care, and assistance with activities of daily living.
