Heavy Civil Superintendent
We’re seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead large-scale heavy civil construction projects across the Central Plains region (NE, KS, IA, ND, SD). This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can manage crews, assign daily tasks, and operate earth-moving equipment when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate field operations on multi-million dollar heavy civil projects
- Assign daily tasks, oversee crews, and ensure productivity and safety on site
- Operate heavy equipment (excavators, dozers, etc.) as needed to support project progress
- Maintain project schedules, coordinate with subcontractors, and communicate with project managers
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards
- 5+ years of experience as a foreman or superintendent on heavy civil or highway projects
- Strong background in excavation and heavy equipment operation
- Willingness to travel Monday-Friday (home on weekends)
- Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills

A.) from four-year college, technical school or university in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent OR;• A minimum of 5 years of heavy civil / roadway estimating experience including removals, grading, concrete structures, aggregate placement, asphalt paving, airport runways and related scopes of work or equivalent and;• A minimum of 5 years of Estimating including software like HCSS, Heavy Bid, AGTEK, OST, P6, Excel or equivalent.• A good attitude and the ability to work with and get along
