Northwest Container Services , a Waste Connections company, is looking to hire a highly motivated, Heavy Equipment Mechanic to work on a variety of lifts, chassis and construction equipment.
Maintenance performed on equipment such asTerex Top Pick Lift Trucks, Hyster 1-ton, 2-ton & 15-ton forklifts, graders, sweepers, water truck, bucket loaders, yard hostlers, chassis, and truck lifts.
Pay range is $28-$35/HR DOE
Schedule is Monday - Friday
Shift is 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM with some overtime as needed.
Safety Sensitive: Yes
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services.
Diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, engine, transmission, suspension, differential, planetary, wet and air brakes on vehicles and equipment.
Have basic computer / electronic skills.
Utilize vehicle computer electronic systems and laptop programs for repairs.
Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 75 pounds.
REQUIREMENTS:
Shows up to work ON TIME every day ready to work!
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Provide your own mechanics tools.
Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate service and technical information.
Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience working with heavy equipment. Open to high school or college graduates looking to get trained in the heavy equipment field.
