We are looking for an experienced Excavator Operator. The successful candidate will have experience with main line utility work. Operators are responsible for safely driving and operating commercial vehicles and equipment for infrastructure construction projects. Excavator Operators are also responsible for loading and unloading equipment and freight. Qualified candidates must be able to think critically and use good judgement in order to detect, minimize, and eliminate hazards on construction projects. This position must comply with safety and DOT regulations and are required to complete continuous training. Some infrastructure construction projects require in-state travel and overnight stays. A typical schedule is Monday-Friday but could vary based on project timelines. Saturday hours are occasional and based on demand.
Job Requirements: The ideal candidate will have 5 years of operating experience and a valid driver's license. All candidates must have the ability to show up to work on time, possess a strong work ethic, show a willingness to learn, and have a positive attitude.

Job Description
Operate Crawler friction cranes on our construction projects in the state of Iowa. Crane operating duties include, pile driving, vibratory hammer, clam shell work, swinging concrete and rebar, these are needed but we are willing to train the right person if they know basic crane operating practices. Person must be responsible, safe, and hard working with basic lifting and rigging knowledge, and fluent with hand signals.
Some operating experience needed on: Excavators, loaders, and dozers.
Salary Range: $35.65 to $38.50 depending on location of projects including a union fringe benefit package. Per diem also available depending on location of home address to project location.

+ Operate a variety of Class B trucks
+ Loading and unloading of trucks
+ Ensure customer satisfaction at time of service.
+ Proper placarding of vehicles to meet Company and DOT requirements/regulations
+ Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and various reports
+ Follow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rules
+ Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirements
+ Safely observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures
+ Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines
+ Performs other duties as assigned
+ By position, ability to be on call for emergency response on rotating basis every other week
+ By position, site-remediation, equipment decontamination, and the handling of hazardous materials.
**Required Qualifications** :
+ Valid Class B CDL
+ Hazmat and Tanker endorsement
+ Ability to operate a manual transmission
+ Ability to use various mobile devices
+ Perform physical functions per job requirements
+ Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position
+ Per OSHA's Respiratory Protection Standard, 29 CFR , employees in positions requiring respirators are required to meet facial hair standards.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Commercial driver experience
+ Previous Hazmat experience
+ Previous manual labor experience
