PRIMARY OBJECTIVES OF POSITION
Operates equipment as directed and specified while adhering to all rules and regulations as mandated by Mortenson safety policies and procedures.
The base compensation range for this role is $47.15 - $63.50 per hour. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skill and experience with consideration given to internal equity.
SUMMARY OF EXPECTED OUTCOMES
-High quality, professional work product performed with initiative, productivity, a positive attitude and behavior
-Performance should meet or exceed the established standards, goals, and accountabilities of the position
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
-Operates the following equipment based on the requirements of the project:
1. Blade
2. Dozer
3. Loader
4. Scraper
5. Forklift/Telehandler
6. Crane
7. Bobcat/Skid-steer
8. Boom Lifts/Aerial Lifts
9. Roller
-Follows prescribed safety regulations
-Ensure that all housekeeping is maintained in a clear and orderly fashion in assigned area
-Performs routine maintenance to include lubricating, fueling and cleaning
-Observes equipment operation to detect machine malfunction
-Follows work plans and pre-task cards
-Other duties and responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS AND KEY SKILL REQUIREMENTS
-Strong teamwork orientation
-Positive attitude and professional customer service skills
-Detail orientation
-Ability to move levers, shift gears, depress pedals and maneuver steering wheel to operator equipment
-Open to change based on diverse input and feedback
-Effectively work with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
-Adaptive, effective communication and active listening skills
-Strong cross-cultural relationship building and influencing at all organizational levels
-Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, procedure manuals, and load charts
-Knowledge of equipment and their uses
-Understand and apply basic mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, division, & multiplication)
-Strong teamwork orientation
-Positive attitude and professional customer service skills
-Ability to work independently
-Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements
-Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs
-Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling over 50 lbs will be done with assistance of another team member or equipment

**Shift & Location:**
+ 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM, Overtime may be required
+ Location: Richland Distribution Center
**Pay & Benefits:**
+ **Starting pays:** $23.50 (base rate $2.00 plus 1.50 shift differential)
+ **Monthly performance incentive:** Potential to earn up to 5.50 extra per direct hour

+ Comfortable standing/walking for up to 12 hours
+ Ability to work at heights up to 30 feet (for some equipment roles)
+ General computer and math skills
**Responsibilities:**
+ Accurately sort, pick, label, and store product in assigned locations
+ Operate powered industrial equipment (stand-up order picker, reach truck, electric pallet jack, dock stocker, sit-down forklift)
+ Assemble containers and maintain organized supplies
+ Perform daily tasks using hand-held RF scanners or voice units
+ Always maintain inventory integrity and product safety
+ Communicate effectively with coworkers and demonstrate teamwork
+ Participate in associate meetings and share feedback with management
+ Follow all standard operating procedures and adhere to OSHA standards and company policies
