* Actively facilitates patient flow in the department.
* Promotes cost consciousness by directing patients to D/C area for collections and using supplies wisely.
* Treats all patients, families, co-workers and physicians in a customer friendly manner, actively giving information to patient and family, providing comfort measures, maintaining clean work environment and calling patients for follow up as assigned.
* Maintains accurate records, legibly documents and reports patient care and charges, time of triage, time placed on bed, and time discharged from Emergency Services.
* Documents and discharges patients giving appropriate teaching information and referrals.
* Maintains up-to-date knowledge of emergency nursing procedures and equipment, medication administered in the department, nursing trends, practices and legal aspects of emergency nursing.
