We are currently seeking qualified and motivated professionals interested in joining our team in support of an upcoming federal contract (pending award). This position will play a key role in delivering high-quality services to our government client and will be contingent upon contract award.

Maximus is seeking a HIPAA Privacy Officer for a dynamic Federal Contract.

The HIPAA Privacy Officer will maintain current knowledge of the Federal and State rules and regulations related to Security and Confidentiality included in the contracts of supported clients/projects including HIPAA and American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) regulations; and be responsible for the review and approval of contract deliverables related to Confidentiality for the Project.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary contact for the state client
- Ensure program operations are in compliance with all applicable requirements of the contract, as well as State and federal regulations.
- Ensure goals and objectives are established by Project Manager that support the overall Project strategies.
- Oversee all project administrative operations including budget, financial controls, and human resources.
- Plan, develop and schedule priorities for achieving operational and performance goals.
- Review management, productivity, and financial reports and studies to ensure program objectives are met.
- Participate in internal audits, research studies, forecasts, and modeling exercises to support Project direction and guidance.
- Manage operational managers, to include performance appraisals, mentoring, and professional/development guidance.
- Demonstrate a high level of dedication and proactive leadership in meeting corporate goals and program objectives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

- Report directly to the Project Director on all matters related to Security and Confidentiality for the Project.
- Responsible for incorporation of Corporate Privacy Policies & Procedures changes or additions into Project Confidentiality Policies and Procedures.
- Serve as the primary liaison on matters related to Confidentiality.
- Take action on all complaints concerning the project's privacy policies and procedures in coordination with Project Director, and in collaboration with Corporate Privacy Officer and client Privacy Officer.
- Support and participate in regularly scheduled meetings for Security Advisory Committee, Safety Committee, Change Control Committee and monthly client Security and Confidentiality meeting.
- Responsible for reviewing all potential or actual security and/or confidentiality breaches and conducting Risk Assessment and Analysis to develop appropriate Risk Mitigation Plans.
- Responsible for preparing and submitting for Project Director approval all required notifications of suspected or actual breach of protection of beneficiary or confidential information or data.
- Participate in seminars and symposiums related to federal and state rules and regulations relating to Security and Confidentiality, recommend that appropriate changes are incorporated into the Security and Confidentiality Policies and Procedures for the Project.
- Maintain Disclosure Log of privacy breaches.
- Maintain updated knowledge of Federal and State HIM rules and regulations as related to the supported clients/projects and communicate revisions in requirements to Project Management in a timely manner.
- Responsible for the review and approval of all contract deliverables related to Health Information Management (HIM) for the Project.
- Comply with the quality requirements detailed in records retention manuals and compiles with ISO 9001:2008 as related to HIM Program. Maintains updated knowledge of supported clients/projects Quality Manual for the department and position.
- - Participate in seminars and symposiums related to federal and state rules and regulations relating to Health Information Management, assuring that appropriate changes are incorporated into the HIM Policies and Procedures for the Project.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by management.

As part of this project, you will support a federally funded initiative that provides essential medical readiness services-such as exams, screenings, dental care and preventive care-to individuals in remote or underserved areas. Services are delivered through a network of providers and mobile teams, with remote coordination and scheduling. The program ensures consistent access to care across dispersed populations and contributes to broader public service goals.

Maximus is seeking a HIPAA Privacy Officer for a dynamic Federal Contract.

The HIPAA Privacy Officer will maintain current knowledge of the Federal and State rules and regulations related to Security and Confidentiality included in the contracts of supported clients/projects including HIPAA and American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) regulations; and be responsible for the review and approval of contract deliverables related to Confidentiality for the Project.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary contact for the state client
- Ensure program operations are in compliance with all applicable requirements of the contract, as well as State and federal regulations.
- Ensure goals and objectives are established by Project Manager that support the overall Project strategies.
- Oversee all project administrative operations including budget, financial controls, and human resources.
- Plan, develop and schedule priorities for achieving operational and performance goals.
- Review management, productivity, and financial reports and studies to ensure program objectives are met.
- Participate in internal audits, research studies, forecasts, and modeling exercises to support Project direction and guidance.
- Manage operational managers, to include performance appraisals, mentoring, and professional/development guidance.
- Demonstrate a high level of dedication and proactive leadership in meeting corporate goals and program objectives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

- Report directly to the Project Director on all matters related to Security and Confidentiality for the Project.
- Responsible for incorporation of Corporate Privacy Policies & Procedures changes or additions into Project Confidentiality Policies and Procedures.
- Serve as the primary liaison on matters related to Confidentiality.
- Take action on all complaints concerning the project's privacy policies and procedures in coordination with Project Director, and in collaboration with Corporate Privacy Officer and client Privacy Officer.
- Support and participate in regularly scheduled meetings for Security Advisory Committee, Safety Committee, Change Control Committee and monthly client Security and Confidentiality meeting.
- Responsible for reviewing all potential or actual security and/or confidentiality breaches and conducting Risk Assessment and Analysis to develop appropriate Risk Mitigation Plans.
- Responsible for preparing and submitting for Project Director approval all required notifications of suspected or actual breach of protection of beneficiary or confidential information or data.
- Participate in seminars and symposiums related to federal and state rules and regulations relating to Security and Confidentiality, recommend that appropriate changes are incorporated into the Security and Confidentiality Policies and Procedures for the Project.
- Maintain Disclosure Log of privacy breaches.
- Maintain updated knowledge of Federal and State HIM rules and regulations as related to the supported clients/projects and communicate revisions in requirements to Project Management in a timely manner.
- Responsible for the review and approval of all contract deliverables related to Health Information Management (HIM) for the Project.
- Comply with the quality requirements detailed in records retention manuals and compiles with ISO 9001:2008 as related to HIM Program. Maintains updated knowledge of supported clients/projects Quality Manual for the department and position.
- - Participate in seminars and symposiums related to federal and state rules and regulations relating to Health Information Management, assuring that appropriate changes are incorporated into the HIM Policies and Procedures for the Project.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by management.

Minimum Requirements:
- Directs and controls the activities of a broad functional area through several department managers within the company.
- Has overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods.
- Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company.
- Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people.
- Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers.
- Interactions frequently involve special skills, such as negotiating with customers or management or attempting to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization.
- Reports to Senior Director or VP level.

Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 10+ years of relevant professional experience required.
