The position may also perform specimen grossing of surgically removed tissue under the supervision of the Pathologist.
- This job description reflects the essential function of the position, and it is not to be assumed that the principal functions are the only duties to be performed.
- Other duties may arise and be carried out as assigned to meet quality standards expected for patient care.
- All duties performed will be within the guidelines set forth by regulatory and hospital guidelines to maintain, manage, and assure specimen integrity.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's in histotechnology, laboratory science obtained from an accredited institution, OR bachelor's in biology or chemistry with education /training equivalent.
Preferred Job Requirements:
Experience within a clinical or anatomic pathology department.
6 months’ experience as a Histotechnician.
Pay Range Minimum: $29.48/Hr.
Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
