Job Description
As the Home Mortgage Underwriting Correspondent Specialist, you will perform pre purchase or post purchase underwriting reviews on selected conventional and/or FHA loan products, in accordance with the guidelines of the Citizens Correspondent Lending Division including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and FHA. This position will report to the VP of Pre-Purchase.
Primary responsibilities include
+ Perform pre-purchase underwriting risk reviews on designated loans based on specific criteria.
+ Perform AUS data validation on the selected loans.
+ Assist the Auditors to resolve any pre-purchase issues, as needed.
+ Assist the Investor Suspense and Post purchase groups to resolve Loan salability issues.
+ Assist Underwriting Managers and Team Leads with additional tasks, as needed.
Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials
+ Minimum 3-5 years mortgage experience in Underwriting or equivalent.
+ Must be familiar with automated underwriting systems including Fannie Mae's Desktop Underwriter and Freddie Mac's Loan Prospector.
+ Maintain current understanding of all Citizens, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, DU and LPA guidelines and policies.
+ Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, DU and LPA.
+ Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Organized with keen attention to detail.
+ Able to multiple task.
+ Customer Service Driven. Ability to return all customer calls and emails within 2 hours on the same day as received.
+ Ability to work outside normal business hours, if needed.

+ Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (this position is located and hybrid in the Irving, TX Office)

Citizens is seeking an excellent listener and outgoing Consumer Contact Center Specialist who enjoys talking to people. Specialists must be equipped to handle outbound/inbounds calls with general customer objections and answer basic questions.
Primary responsibilities include
You will be required to study scripts so that you can best help the customers and fulfill your sales goals. It is crucial that you have a positive attitude as rejection is a daily occurrence when cold calling. Although difficult, if you can learn to not take rejection personally and instead learn from it to improve, then your progress will be fast-tracked, and you will quickly reach sales goals. We will provide all necessary training to ensure that you have the required tools necessary to be as successful as possible. Good customer relationship management skills and persistence are key to being successful. An organized follow-up system will be crucial as well, as sometimes sales opportunities will not be closed on the first call and will require you to reach back out for a follow-up call. You need to be quick on your feet to respond appropriately to customers on the phone as you make your outbound calls. If you have an ambitious, positive, can-do attitude, outgoing spirit, and enjoy helping others, then this can be a fulfilling job for you.

As the Quality Assurance Analyst, you will participate, in a team environment, to define the target state for monitoring and testing for assigned products, processes and services. Under direction, the Analyst will complete quality control testing for one or more lines of business and/or products. Working within established timelines, the Analyst will deliver control testing and risk monitoring activities which are critical to determining control environment effectiveness. In this role, the Analyst will gain an understanding of business processes and will develop fundamental control assessment skills.
Primary responsibilities include
+ The primary focus of the Quality Assurance (QA) team is to design and execute quality assurance testing. QA results aid the line of business by ensuring process and controls are functioning properly and that data elements are flowing completely and accurately from input through to regulatory and management reporting.
+ Identifies and develops ways to improve the quality, capability, or efficiency of the testing process.
+ Builds strong relationships with partners and business line management, across the various business lines, sharing monitoring and testing outcomes.
+ Documents testing results results in system of record. Demonstrates knowledge of Business Line processes and control monitoring skills through increased independence on work tasks while maintaining quality. Documents changes in process as required
+ Maintains up-to-date understanding of business processes along with regulatory requirements for quality assurance testing and controls.
Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials
+ 2-4 years Home Mortgage Loss Mitigation experience
+ Ability to juggle multiple work efforts and to quickly change direction
+ PC skills including proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and database applications
+ Self-motivated individual who can work independently and as an engaged member of a team
+ Organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines
+ Strong oral and written communications skills
+ Knowledge of banking/brokerage products and operations; regulatory requirements; and key processes, controls, and exposure areas a plus
+ Experience delivering under tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards
+ Excellent interpersonal skills
