Our client is seeking a dedicated Horticultural Operations Specialist to join their team in Orlando, Florida, US . This role is crucial for the successful management and growth of our client's horticultural projects, focusing on plant health, propagation, and sustainable cultivation practices. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of botany, soil science, and integrated pest management, along with practical experience in managing large-scale planting and maintenance operations. You will be responsible for overseeing daily horticultural activities, including planting schedules, irrigation systems, fertilization programs, and disease/pest control. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent observational skills, and a passion for plant science. You will also be involved in developing and refining horticultural techniques, conducting research on new plant varieties, and contributing to the overall aesthetic and health of the landscapes. This role involves both indoor and outdoor work, requiring physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions. Collaboration with groundskeeping staff and other operational teams will be essential.

- Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Botany, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in professional horticulture or landscape management.
- Knowledge of plant physiology, soil science, and pest/disease management.
- Experience with irrigation systems and fertilizer applications.
- Ability to identify a wide range of plant species.
- Strong problem-solving and observational skills.
- Valid driver's license.
