Job Description: Were seeking an experienced Billing Clerk to join our team. Based on operational needs, this position can potentially work remotely, at our corporate office, or at the hospital facility. The ideal candidate is someone who is detail-oriented, able to work independently, has strong organizational skills, and possess computer proficiency. Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Verifies hospital insurance information
- Compiles hospital bills, completes appropriate forms, submits claims to proper agencies/insurance companies
- Prepares bills and invoices for medical services and treatments received
- Establishes payment arrangements on current and delinquent patient accounts. Contacts and follows up with individuals to reconcile accounts
- Gathers patient insurance and financial information to generate payment for thefacility. Updates and obtains medical authorization for payment from insurers
- Codes patient insurance/demographic information for data entry
- Remains informed about changes in Medicare and Medicaid
- Maintains current patient accounts and addresses in the computer system toavoid loss of claims. Verifies patient account numbers
- Interacts with patients and families in a professional manner. Providesexplanations regarding statements and insurance coverage
- Communicates effectively with other departments to obtain accurate billing Information
- Performs other job-related duties as requested by the CEO
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Previous experience in medical billing preferred
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Preferred experience with Meditech and Cerner

LabCorp is seeking a Reference Test Clerk to join our team in Sidell LA. This position will be responsible for preparing and sending specimens and test requests to LabCorp and/or contracted reference laboratory for testing, as well as releasing referral test results into the computer system.
The schedule for this position will be Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Prepare laboratory specimens for various analysis and testing.

Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems.

Send test requests to proper location and release test results.

Assist clients with any specimen related requests or inquires.

Process specimens to be sent out to additional facilities.

Provide support to various areas of the laboratory.

Perform sample sorting, racking, and retrieving.

Prepare record logs in a timely and efficient manner.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
