SUMMARY
Responsible for safely providing on-site placement and collection of reusable Sharp Medical Waste containers through the healthcare system, while developing and sustaining customer relationships with hospitals, medical institutions, and other sharps' waste generators.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other functions may be assigned.
- Travels between facilities providing on-site placement and collection of Sharp Medical Waste containers (Sharps, Rx, Haz, etc.) through a healthcare facility, as required or requested.
- Collect/transport RCRA pharmaceutical waste and take to central accumulation areas within facility.
- Maintains a rigid collection and service schedule.
- Communicates duty status on a defined schedule.
- Proactively resolve customer service questions, problems and issues.
- Review container tags to determine if size modification is required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrates strong communication skills and tact in providing superior customer service in a variety of settings.
- Demonstrates ability to work independently and with little supervision.
- Demonstrates knowledge of computer software applications including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must possess a valid driver's license. Must possess reliable transportation to travel between customer facilities.
