Position Summary:

The Finance and Hospitality Manager oversees the financial team responsible for managing funding for member debit cards and reconciling corporate card transactions related to medical travel arrangements. This role involves overseeing the payment of hotel invoices, submitting administrative billing, and monitoring member experiences to ensure satisfaction. The manager conducts and oversees inspections on hotels to assess safety, quality, and patient experience, while also negotiating rates, amenities, and contracts with hotels and shuttle services. Travel is required to perform on-site evaluations and maintain strong partnerships.

The NACIE team at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is seeking a talented Solution Architect to drive the adoption of cloud data platform solutions in the retail industry. We are looking for a retail and cloud enthusiast who can bring their expertise and competitor insights to help our customers thrive in the cloud era. This role is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the retail sector's digital transformation journey.
**Role Overview:**
+ As a Retail Cloud Data Platform Solution Architect, you will be the trusted advisor to our retail clients, helping them leverage the power of OCI's cloud data platform to drive innovation and growth.
+ Your primary focus will be on designing and architecting cutting-edge solutions, considering the unique challenges and opportunities within the retail space.
+ Plus points will be given for candidates with a deep understanding of competitor offerings, such as Snowflake and Databricks, and the ability to position OCI's solutions effectively.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Engage with retail customers to understand their data journey, including migration, integration, and modernization, and propose tailored OCI data platform solutions.
+ Design and architect cloud-native data platforms, leveraging OCI services: Cloud Data Platform Product Knowledge: Exadata, Autonomous Database (AutoDB), and Generative AI (GenAI) for advanced analytics.
+ Provide thought leadership and best practices to customers, helping them optimize their data architecture and improve business outcomes.
+ Conduct technical workshops and presentations to educate customers and partners on OCI's data platform capabilities and benefits.
+ Stay informed about competitor offerings (Snowflake, Databricks) and market trends to develop compelling value propositions for OCI's solutions.
+ Collaborate with the product management team to provide feedback and influence the development of retail-focused features and services.
+ Guide and mentor junior architects, sharing your knowledge and expertise to foster a culture of continuous learning.
**Qualifications and Skills:**
+ Extensive solution architecture experience, preferably with a focus on retail or e-commerce data platforms.
+ In-depth knowledge of cloud data platform technologies, including data warehousing, data lakes, and real-time analytics.
+ Expertise in OCI's cloud data platform offerings: Cloud Data Platform Product Knowledge Plus, Exadata, AutoDB, and GenAI.
+ Strong understanding of competitor products: Snowflake's data cloud and Databricks' data and AI platform. Ability to articulate OCI's competitive advantages.
+ Proficiency in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration techniques.
+ Experience with cloud-based data warehousing solutions, data lake architecture, and modern data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Kafka).
+ Programming skills in Python, SQL, or similar languages for data manipulation and analysis.
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
+ Industry certifications such as OCI Architect, Snowflake Certified Architect, or Databricks Certified Associate are highly valued.
**Preferred Background:**
+ A background in retail or e-commerce environments, with a deep understanding of retail-specific data challenges and opportunities.
+ Experience in leading data platform migration projects from on-premises to cloud environments.
+ Knowledge of AI/ML technologies and their application in retail analytics is a plus.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
