We are seeking a strategic and curious **Senior Manager of People Analytics & Insights** to transform our HR analytics function from dashboard delivery to true people analytics. This role will drive the elevation of our data capabilities, creating deeper insights into teammate, team, and workforce behavior, performance, and engagement. As the leader of our People Analytics & Insights team, you'll be detail-oriented and conscientious, analytical, and curious. You'll be focused on solving our future work initiatives, taking a multifaceted approach looking across structural factors, team sentiment and career metrics and organizational outcomes. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in industrial and organizational psychology, research methodology, and business acumen to help shape our talent strategy and organizational effectiveness.
**Your Impact**
+ Lead the evolution of HR analytics from operational reporting (Power BI dashboards) to strategic people analytics that drive organizational insight and targeted talent interventions.
+ Translate complex data into compelling narratives that resonate with HR leaders and business stakeholders,bridging the gap between technical analytics and human-centered strategy.
+ Apply advanced research methodologies, including experimental design, survey development, and statistical modeling, to uncover drivers of employee behavior, performance, and engagement.
+ Build and lead a high-performing team of technical experts (data analysts, BI developers, and automation specialists), fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
+ Partner with HR, Finance, Legal, and IT to integrate and interpret data across systems (e.g., SuccessFactors, LMS, Payroll, Timekeeping, etc).
+ Develop predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions to support workforce planning, retention strategies, and organizational design.
+ Champion ethical data use, privacy, and governance in all people analytics initiatives.
+ Serve as a thought leader in the HR Service Center, promoting a culture of evidence-based decision-making and continuous improvement.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Data Science, Economics, or related field.
+ 7+ years of experience in HR analytics, people analytics, or workforce strategy.
+ Background in behavioral science or organizational psychology.
+ Proficiency in Power BI (DAX, M), SQL, and statistical tools (e.g., R, Python, SPSS).
+ Strong understanding of HR systems (e.g., SuccessFactors, Workday, ADP) and data structures.
+ Experience translating complex data into actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
+ Excellent communication, collaboration, and change leadership skills.
+ Experience identifying improvements in processes and enhancing the efficiency of reporting functionality and delivery.
+ Experience leading and developing small teams.
**Workplace Location**
+ **Location:** This individual must reside within commuting distance from our **Baltimore (HQ)** office.
+ **Work Schedule:** Beginning September 8, 2025, the in-office requirement will increase to 4 days per week.

**Base Compensation**
$143,165.60 - $196,852.70 USD
Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position. **JOB SUMMARY:**
We are seeking a strategic and analytical HR Analytics Business Partner with a focus on Learning & Leadership
Development to drive the evaluation and continuous improvement of our learning programs. This role will focus
on program assessment, leveraging data and insights to measure effectiveness, identify gaps, and recommend
enhancements that align with organizational goals and learning outcomes. The ideal candidate is passionate
about learning, skilled in data analysis, and experienced in evaluating training outcomes across diverse formats
and audiences. You will be responsible for the end-to-end learning analytics framework, collaborating across
WM's HR Reporting & Analytics team, Learning and Leadership team, and business leaders to define KPIs,
measure the true impact.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
- Design and implement robust evaluation frameworks (e.g., Kirkpatrick Model, ROI analysis) to assess learning
program effectiveness. Example: For a leadership training program, you might use the Kirkpatrick Model to:
Survey participants immediately after training (Reaction), Test knowledge gained (Learning), Observe changes
in leadership behavior over 3 months (Behavior), and Measure improvements in team performance or retention (Results) by customizing frameworks to fit different types of learning (e.g., leadership development
vs. compliance training) and defining success metrics for each level of evaluation (e.g., knowledge retention,
behavior change, business impact).
- Collect, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data from surveys, assessments, and performance
metrics.
- Collaborate with instructional designers, subject matter experts, and business leaders to align assessments
with learning objectives and business goals.
- Develop dashboards and reports to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Conduct pre- and post-training assessments and analyze results to determine knowledge retention and
behavior change.
- Assist in the selection and implementation of learning technologies and platforms that support assessment and
analytics.
- Stay current with best practices in adult learning, instructional design, and learning analytics.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for L&D initiatives.
- Partner with HR technical teams to ensure accurate data integration and reporting.
- Present findings to senior leadership to inform strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with instructional designers and facilitators to refine content based on assessment.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education:**
Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, Research and Statistics, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field. (Master's preferred).
**Work Experience**
5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, with a strong focus on program evaluation and
analytics required.
Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SPSS) required.
Familiarity with LMS platforms and learning technologies required.
Strong communication and presentation skills required.
Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Certification in learning evaluation (e.g., CPLP, Kirkpatrick Certified) preferred.
- Experience with adult learning theory and instructional design.
- Knowledge of change management and performance consulting
- Knowledge and demonstrated understanding of adult learning styles and instructional design
- Demonstrated experience in partnering with business/organizational leaders, learning
consultants, and facilitators to translate business objectives into effective learning sessions
- Strong consultant approach to client relationships
- Proven track record to designing valid and reliable surveys
-Experience with statistical analysis including but not limited to ANOVA, T-tests, Correlation,
Multiple Regression, Multivariate Analysis
The expected salary range for this position is $112,700 - $148,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
