**Compensation Strategy**
In-depth knowledge and experience developing and implementing strategic compensation programs and policies for a large and complex organization, including the demonstrated ability to successfully design, implement, monitor, and revise executive compensation, variable pay, incentive, retention, and other compensation attraction programs that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and organizational objectives.
**Compensation Administration**
In-depth knowledge and experience administrating compensation functions, including the demonstrated ability to accurately develop job descriptions; benchmark and apply survey data; develop compensation structures; establish appropriate start salaries; administer merit increase philosophies and systems; and accurately processes, record, and report on compensation related actions.
**Leadership**
Demonstrated experience managing broad, functional areas of compensation through first-level managers and/or exempt professionals for a large and dynamic compensation organization, including team succession planning, talent development, and the demonstrated ability to ensure a diverse, inclusive, safe, and secure working environment.
**Strategic Collaboration**
Experience interacting with senior managers and executives, fostering effective working relationships, and communicating complex compensation information to a wide variety of stakeholders, including the ability to change their thinking or gain acceptance in sensitive situations without damaging relationships.
**Regulation and Compliance**
Expert-level knowledge of laws and regulations governing compensation programs, including demonstrated experience consulting on better-practices and compensation-related laws and the ability to respond to audits and/or file required reports.
**Metrics**
Advanced experience developing, charting, and reporting compensation program/project metrics, including the ability to develop and administer budgets, schedules, and performance standards, as well as use data to build cases for necessary change, measure progress, and demonstrate success.
**Education and Years of Relevant Experience**
Requires a bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field and eight years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the position.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to the Compensation Manager, the Position Control Analyst is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of all positions within the Credit Union. This role ensures alignment with strategic and business goals while promoting efficient resource allocation. The Analyst manages and analyzes position data related to the allocation and tracking of positions, ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and providing insights to support decision-making. As a strategic partner, the Analyst plans, defines, and manages positions to ensure alignment and optimal workforce utilization. This role collaborates closely with Employee Relations, HRIS, Accounting, and department leadership to review position data, reconcile staffing allocations, develop financial reports, and provide support for budget development.

TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS:
  1. Serves as the subject matter expert in position management, providing clear, data-informed insights and guidance to senior leadership, department heads, and frontline managers to ensure alignment between organizational staffing structures, budgetary controls, and workforce planning.
  2. Plans, organizes, and controls all aspects of the position management process for the Credit Union. Ensures the integrity of position control and reporting, and that positions are accurately reconciled.
  3. Serves as the first level authority for position requests. Reviews and provides guidance on job requests and determines the next course of action.
  4. Submits all position requisitions for recruiting after review and necessary approvals.
  5. Engages with HR Business Partner's and department leaders on position requests that require additional review, approval, or justification.
  6. Meets with HR Business Partners and department leaders to optimize workforce planning and forecast staffing needs.
  7. Maintains tracking of new and revised positions, ensures they have been classified and graded by a compensation analyst and approved by the department leader before submission to HRIS.
  8. Ensures all authorized staffing positions are maintained, added, and/or updated in position management.
  9. Ensures new and/or revised roles are accurately classified, graded, and budgeted and reflected in position management.
  10. Utilize the position management dashboard for tracking and reporting and regularly meet with HRIS to review, maintain, and update the position management platform, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  11. Analyze position data for staffing, salaries, and budget information. Consult with Accounting to provide and develop salary projections and prepare reports for budget and FTE development.
  12. Analyze position management data to identify trends and provide insights. Prepare and present reports to management and relevant stakeholders.
  13. Identify opportunities for improving the position control processes and implement changes.
  14. Other related projects and duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXERTION UTILIZED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THESE TASK:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  2. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years experience in position control, workforce management, or similar function; including experience providing budgetary or financial oversight services. Experience in a financial institution preferred.

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum of5 full life cycle HCM Cloud Implementations with a minimumof3 full life cycle implementations solely focused on Core HR, Workforce Compensation and Benefits.
  • Strong ability to architect across 3 or more modules with Oracle HCM Cloud; required
  • Current Oracle Cloud Certification in Payroll, Global HR and/or other HCM Cloud modules; required
  • Proven ability to lead, manage and deliver full lifecycle projects through analysis, design, configuration, testing and cutover.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle HCM Cloud Tools such as HCM Extracts and HDL (highly preferred)
