HR Generalist Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a point of contact to management for corrective action review and corresponding documentation generation.
  • Conduct supervisory and managerial developmental trainings.
  • Investigate Labor Relations related matters and communicate findings.
  • Serve as point of contact for personnel related matters (policy interpretation/explanation, payroll inquiries, FMLA & Short-Term Disability, 401k, benefits).
  • Facilitate Worker's Compensation (WC) incident investigations and ensure the relevant supporting documentation is provided to HR.
  • Assist the HR Assistant in the recruitment function, when necessary
  • Communicate with WC Claims Adjuster and Program Nurses.
  • Facilitate grievance hearings for BCTGM Local 68 unionized members.
  • Maintain administrative trackers and take the appropriate action, when applicable.
  • Review/Enter information in sub-systems pertaining to WC, FMLA.
  • All other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred: Business Administration, Business Management, HR Management)
  • Three (3) years of progressive Human Resources experience or equivalent transferable experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Desire to learn a multitude of computer-based applications and software
  • Able to listen actively and offer solutions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Work Environment

UC Davis is a smoke and tobacco free campus effective January 1, 2014. The salary range for this position is expected to be $73,000/yr - 75,000/yr. Position Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated HR Generalist to support our HR team in various human resource activities at Adriana's Insurance. The HR Generalist will play a vital role in maintaining employee relations, administering employee benefits, compliance, recruitment, and performance management, all while promoting a positive company culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance.

As the HR Generalist, you will focus on two main areas in human resources: Recruitment and Onboarding (60%) Support the Sr. HR Generalist with recruitment efforts including updating job descriptions, posting open positions, phone screening candidates, and attending virtual/on-site interviews. Source candidates from various job boards and social media sites to maintain an active candidate pool for various positions. Serve as a primary user within ClearCompany for applicant tracking, sourcing, and communication, connecting with Account Managers for product features and updates to help streamline the recruitment process. Collaborate with hiring managers and interview teams on candidate selections, providing guidance and support as necessary. Prepare offer letters and extend offers to candidates, as well as sending turn-down emails in a timely manner. Track and maintain offer letters, references, background checks, and other new coworker documents electronically. Complete new coworker onboarding tasks using Paylocity, communicating updates with new coworkers and managers as needed. Support the Sr. HR Generalist in hosting new coworker orientation in-office, ordering meals, and training new coworkers on HR policies and procedures. Administrative Support (40%) Maintain active and inactive employment records for all coworkers, including hard copy folders and electronically scanned documents as required. Track, manage, and record licensure status and other required documents for coworkers monthly, communicating directly with coworkers and managers as needed. Submit and review sanction screenings for all coworkers on a monthly and quarterly basis to comply with contractual requirements. Collaborate with Marketing, Corporate Development Team, Finance & Accounting and other departments on administrative projects including coworker awards, anniversaries, position changes, etc. Assist in reviewing and revising all human resources policies, procedures, and SOPs to ensure up to date and accurate information. Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to provide continual improvements in efficiency within the human resources department. Complete employment verifications, loan forgiveness forms, and other authorized forms as needed. Participate in various committees and councils as an HR representative to provide insight, ideas, and support. Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately. Maintain compliance with all federal and state regulations in all functions of support.
