Job Description
This Leader will oversee Sysco's Global HR programs and projects in our management of the Workday system within the organization. This role is responsible for driving strategic HR initiatives that align with business objectives. They will coordinate with various stakeholders, manage project timelines, and ensure that projects align with Sysco's HR strategic goals. A key component of this role is to have a deep understanding of the strategic priorities and be able to align those priorities within the HR Technology and HRIS teams by providing a level of structure and insight into the navigation and execution of those priorities.
This position is available Hybrid (Houston) or Remote
**Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Manage and oversee all aspects of mid-to-large-scale Workday system enhancement projects. This includes developing and maintaining standards, tools, and templates that need to be followed for Workday configuration activities
+ Assess change requests and ensure business justification, financial analysis, and timeline impacts are quantified
+ Responsibility for full lifecycle project management of Workday projects (including M&A activity and regional foldouts)
+ Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure timely completion
+ Develop, deliver, and facilitate the review of progress reports including issue/risk logs and project status by workstream
+ Partner with HRIS and HR Shared Services for impacts to system configuration, service center impacts and overall colleague experience
+ Support best practices that can be leveraged by all of HR to manage projects, report status, plan for change and measure success
+ Anticipate and identify potential issues and risks that may impact program implementation, and assist the client with problem-solving, issues resolution, risk mitigation, and timely decision-making. Provide strategic advice and thought leadership and deploy the required resources to address various program challenges and unanticipated events
+ Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure requirements are gathered and ensure alignment with business objectives
**ABILITIES AND SKILLS** :
+ Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
+ Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
+ Drive key initiatives and programs, and in the creation and sharing of tools to improve processes
+ Utilize project management concepts to ensure successful delivery
+ Strong problem-solving and project management skills to deliver strategic objectives
+ Proven track record of managing budgets and producing Business Cases that delivered on projected ROI
+ The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering meaningful solutions and possess rigorous goal-setting and continuous improvement discipline.
**REQUIRED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE** :
+ 7+ years of experience in HR, project management, or business operations
+ Experience building and delivering complex communication plans across diverse stakeholder groups
+ Experience managing global initiatives and ability to navigate through ambiguity/re-prioritize as requirements and direction change
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and project management tools
+ Workday experience preferred
**REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION:**
+ Bachelor's degree in related discipline or an additional 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree

HR Works, Inc. is seeking an HR Management Services Intern to join the team (on-site) in our HR Management Services (HRMS) division in Spring 2026 . This is an exciting, paid opportunity, to gain knowledge and hands on experience across all facets of HR while assisting with a variety of HR-related tasks and projects, such as recruiting, new hire onboarding, employee handbook development, job descriptions, HR Assessments, and more. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provides support to team members as needed including but not limited to posting jobs, screening resumes, development of employee handbooks, job descriptions, HR assessments, personnel file and I-9 Audits, FLSA assessments, compensation benchmarks, etc.
- Shadows Consultants supporting the HR virtual helpline and assists with researching information necessary to respond to inquiries.
- Attends team meetings and completes required training, as assigned.
- Accomplishes all other duties and tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
- Develop an understanding of Human Resources consulting and client management.
- Develop an understanding of federal and state employment law requirements, best practices for documentation, and effective research skills.
- Learn the functionality of various HR technology platforms
- Gain experience within an office environment and practice professional communication skills on-site and with remote team members.
- Gain exposure to other departments/HR functions to understand the Human Resources field as a whole.
$18/hour
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Rising Junior or Senior, pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business and/or related field.
- At least one year of customer service experience is preferred.
- Excellent customer service and follow through skills.
- Proficient computer and technology skills; ability to learn and use multiple systems and software.
- Effective communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
