JOB DESIGNATION
The Health, Safety & Environment Specialist 3 provides expertise in the development, implementation and management of effective Safety, Health and Environment programs/systems. Routinely analyzes hazardous situations and identifies alternative courses of action.

JOB CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with the development, documentation, improvement, and audit of site environmental, health and safety systems to assure conformance and effectiveness.
• Determine plant environmental, safety, and health requirements and analyze for compatibility with corporate practices.
• Provides expertise in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Health, Safety and Environmental programs/procedures
• Performs audits and safety inspections of work environments, processes, and operations in compliance with government regulations and industry standards
• Ensures all applicable registrations, permits, and licenses are in place and current;
• Lead activities in support of Kaizen, Safety Star Point Teams (Safety Committee), Emergency Response Teams, and other project teams.
• Participates in developing and implementing training programs for employees
• Gathers data for the purpose of identifying, reducing, or eliminating sources of pollutants and/or hazards that affect the work environment and health of the employees
• Ensure that best practices, incidents, near misses, etc., are communicated between facilities following established guidelines.
• Assist with regulatory-required environmental reporting, including hazardous/residual waste, air emissions, wastewater, and others
• Working knowledge of industry safety, OSHA, EPA, and other state-specific agency regulations and environmental system standards and their application to an industrial environment.
• Ability to effectively communicate environmental, health, and safety concepts, plans, and technical data.

• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
• Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and additional hours as necessary

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

• Education: Bachelor's Degree is REQUIRED (preferred in Environmental, Health, and Safety)
• Years of experience: Minimum 5+ years of relevant Health, Safety, and Environment regulations/standards experience

Required Skills:

• Professionally recognized safety or environmental certification (ASP, GSP, CSP, CIH, CHMM).
• RCRA Hazardous Waste Management training in accordance with 40 CFR 262.34.
• DOT training in accordance with 49 CFR 172.700-704.
• 40 hour initial and 8-hour refresher training in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.120 (HAZWOPER).
• ISO 14001 experience.
• Knowledge of SAP, Benchmark Gensuite, HumanTech and/or other EHS-related software.

The HSEQ Manager (Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality) will play a critical role within Princeton NuEnergys newly established and rapidly growing manufacturing team at our Chester, South Carolina facility. The QEHS Manager will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, coordination, and maintenance of all Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety policies, programs, procedures, training, work practices, and safety controls. **Summary**
The **Field Safety Manager** promotes the Company's IIF culture by ensuring every co-worker returns home safety every night. Is expected to spend a minimum of 90% of time in the field observing and coaching co-workers and Field Safety Representatives on correction of unsafe conditions and behaviors. Reinforces positive behavior through recognition and/or rewards. Serves as a resource to co-workers by answering questions about safety and sharing lessons learned. Uses leading indicators to influence the future direction of safety on the project. Embeds self with the project team and strategically "dives in" using a hands-on approach to improve project safety, quality, and productivity (SQP).

**Requirements**
+ Bachelor's Degree (safety related major) and a minimum of 4 years concrete construction and safety experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Minimum of a certificate in a related field, or construction experience with OSHA 500 training certification.

**Responsibilities**
+ Assists site HSE professional with inspections and incident investigations.
+ Assists with the orientation of new employees.
+ Manages and reviews relevant safety documents according to company and project standard.
+ Gathers, reviews, and distributes safety-related statistical information.
+ Assists with the development and implementation of the project specific HSE plan.
+ Delivers the Safety programs to site personnel and safety orientation.
+ Assists Safety department on the implementation of HSE programs in compliance with company standards,state and OSHA regulations.
+ Assists with the inputting of Safety related statistics, daily/weekly HSE documentation in company specific database.
+ Assists with the implementation and monitoring of the PSI program and conduct PSI audits.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
+ Having reliable transportation.
+ The successful candidate will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as well as organizational and interpersonal skills.
+ Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, and Excel) and other construction industry related software
+ Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
+ Hazard anticipation, identification, and assessment training.
+ Experience researching and compiling information regarding occupational health and industrial hygiene policies,procedures, and standards.
+ OSHA 10 Hour or OSHA 30 Hour Certificate of Training.
+ Must be authorized to work in the US *PCL will not sponsor an employment visa (e.g. H1-B, etc.) for this position.
+ 18 years of age or older and possess a valid Driver's License
+ Available to work in Denver, CO, full time from May to August

The salary range for this position is between $20 and $26 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
