**Job Description:**
Allied Universal® is hiring a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager. The Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager plays a key role in developing, managing, and distributing safety policies and procedures for Allied Universal's Corporate Safety and Risk Department. The Health, Safety, and Environment Manager supports both the Regulated Security Services division and other business lines of operations by overseeing safety programs, regulatory data reporting, OSHA and or MSHA recordkeeping, and support incident investigations. **RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ **Lead HSE programs:** Oversee and implement health, safety, and environmental programs across Allied Universal's operations, ensuring alignment with federal, state, local requirements

+ **Provide technical and regulatory support:** Offer technical and regulatory guidance to employees at all levels, including regional leadership, management, and supervision
+ **Serve as the HSE Subject Matter Expert (SME)** : Serve as the SME point of contact for client safety teams, regulatory agencies, and internal departments
+ **Perform site assessments and inspections:** Conduct field assessment and safety inspections, upon request by the client, across a variety of operating environments to verify regulatory compliance and promote continuous improvement
+ **Emergency Preparedness:** Support emergency preparedness activities, including drills, tabletop exercises, and field coordination for site-specific emergency response plans
+ **Review incidents and root cause analysis:** Lead or support investigations for safety incidents, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions
+ **Incident review** : Conduct a daily analysis of incident data, including but not limited to workers' compensation injuries and vehicle Incidents
+ **Support Worker's Compensation program compliance** : Support operations by assisting with Injury follow-up, return-to-work coordination with Human Resources, and incident documentation
+ **Track compliance and performance:** Monitor safety performance indicators, training completion, and program participation across all assigned accounts to ensure consistent execution of Allied Universal HSE standards
+ **Analyze business intelligence (BI) data and Monthly Reporting:** Analyze and interpret from BI tools like DOMO and other software applications to compile, analyze, and distribute monthly safety performance data highlighting trends, key metrics, and compliance gaps and inform data-driven and fact-based decision-making
+ **Support OSHA/MSHA recordkeeping:** Support OSHA/MSHA recordkeeping and reporting responsibilities
+ Support vendor verification: Support business development and vendor verification platform compliance (i.e., ISNetworld, Avetta, etc.)
+ **Support Regulatory Interactions:** Support operations during regulatory agency inspections and complaint investigations by gathering records, reviewing documentation, and drafting responses to regulatory inquiries

The base salary range for this position is $117,400 to $161,425; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is accountable for performing safety and health activities in construction job sites, industrial plants, or at environmental sites to evaluate and control exposure to physical or environmental hazards.

This position requires 90% travel within Texas with occasional trips to CXT and Dallas TAS offices/job sites. The incumbent must have the ability and flexibility to work varying shifts, long hours (8-12 hours) and weekend hours (Saturdays and/or Sundays) according to project needs. The incumbent must also work in different weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.) and office settings (project trailer, job site, office, etc.)

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conducts job audits by visiting job sites to identify existing or potential hazards.
• Ensures all employees are working safely and following safety guidelines/standards per company and state and/or federal laws.
• Investigates accidents and prepares accident reports.
• Identifies potential causes for accidents and recommends changes in policies and procedures to prevent accidents and illnesses.
• Transports, or accompanies injured employees to medical treatment facilities. Coordinates follow-up visits and work restrictions with medical providers for injured employees.
• Develops reports enumerating hazards found, including documentation and verification of proper abatement steps. Assists field personnel in the abatement of hazards.
• Measures noise levels and air quality using a variety of equipment or instruments.
• Maintains and calibrates instruments of the trade.
• Inspects respirators and trains employees on how to use.
• Coordinates distribution of personal protective equipment such as vests, gloves, hard hats, harnesses, etc.
• Coordinates respirator fit tests at clinic for employees.
• Enforces use of safety equipment, including personal protective equipment.
• Trains operators of earth and / or material moving equipment such as backhoes, front-end loaders, forklifts, scissor lifts, telescoping boom lifts, among others to qualify for operating authorization.
• Trains employees (on-the-job or in classroom settings) on safety and health requirements to ensure compliance with regulations, including new hire orientation.
• Conducts new hire training on a weekly basis.
• Oversees field activities and monitors for health and safety violations.
• Monitors decontamination of personnel leaving hazardous work zones.
• Issues and monitors hot work permits, confined space entries, and lockout/tag out permits.
• Develops and monitors emergency action plans.
• Assists management to prepare safety and health budget.
• Ensures and remains accountable for the safety of himself/herself, as well as any others the incumbent encounters. This includes executing their stop work authority on any task or series of tasks whenever an unsafe condition or situation is anticipated or is observed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

A minimum of 3 years of safety related experience in the construction industry. Associates or Bachelors Degree in Safety or Certificate from technical school/college or related field or combination of equivalent work experience and education is required. Bilingual in English and Spanish is required. Safety professional certifications such as STS-C, CHST, OHST highly desired.

In addition, the incumbent must have:

• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe, and mobile devices (tablets).
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Advanced training skills with the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees at all levels.
• Current driver's license.
• Ability to travel to different job sites in the region’s geographic area approximately 90% of the time.
• OSHA 510 and/or 30 required.
• First-aid/CPR Instructor is helpful.
