Insight Global is looking for a Senior HSE Officer to lead and oversee health, safety, and environmental initiatives for a large project based in Boise, ID. This HSE Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility. Key Responsibilities:

Establish, implement & maintain Emergency Preparedness and Response Plans, Occupational Health Program, Permit-to-Work System and other related programs
Oversee and lead the Safety team & subcontractors in the implementation of Company's safety systems at sites.
Plan, Administer and implement safety policy and safety procedures in compliance with local safety regulations.
Conduct team/ individual WSH inspections and produce relevant reports and ensure follow-up actions to ensure safety compliance.
Lead and assist in investigating any near miss, incident or accident, dangerous occurrence that occurs and recommend preventive measures.
Conduct job hazard/safety analysis to determine safe working practices and engineering controls.
To liaise and co-ordinate with stakeholders, authorities, agencies, and consultants employed by Developer/Client.
To facilitate and conduct internal auditing in order to ensure compliance with ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS45001 standards.
Ensure legal compliance to all statutory safety and Environmental regulations and timely submission of mandatory documents.

**Position Brand Description:**
The Fire Officer - HSE Fire and Rescue is part of the Lilly Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) team and has responsibility to lead/coordinate the on-site emergency response team as a shift lead and Incident Commander in the absence of a Chief Officer. This role will be part of the shift staff that supports a 24/7/365 organization working 24 hours on 48 hours off schedule. The position also interacts with the Lilly Medical Director, Employee Health Services (EHS), security, fire safety systems, local building staff/management teams, and outside agencies. This role is responsible for responding to emergency and special events, as well as participating various site's emergency response programs, fire safety programs, and supporting departmental and site projects, as needed. When not responding to emergencies and special events, this position is responsible for the completion of required maintenance, inspections and training activities.
**Key Objectives/Deliverables:**
+ Support and execution of the on-site emergency preparedness and response plan.
+ Participate in pre-emergency planning and assist in the implementation of the emergency plans with both on-site and local emergency organizations.

  • Coordinate Lab Safety, Locker inspection, Parking lot inspection and Food Defense programs and plant security


Communicate on internal and external EH&S changes, trends and best practices to reduce risks and improve safety.

  • Track safety performance at the facilities and report regularly (monthly safety meetings)
  • Use established channels (e.g. databases, journals etc.) to monitor changes in the regulatory environment (e.g. OSHA, DOT, EPA etc.) as related to EH&S and food manufacturing
  • Provide recommendations and provide support for changes to internal policies and procedures necessitated by new regulations or our internal safety performance

The Occupational Health and Safety Specialist is responsible for fostering a culture of safety and operational excellence by providing expert guidance, support, and training to reduce workplace hazards. This role ensures daily compliance with all applicable government regulations and Nestlé policies, while proactively identifying and mitigating risks through comprehensive assessments and collaborative action planning. A key focus of this position is injury management and the administration of occupational health claims. The Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement effective safety strategies, promote employee well-being, and drive continuous improvement in health and safety performance.
Provide SH&E Leadership
+ Champion a culture where safety and health are a core value.
+ Coordinate, support, and deliver SH&E department training programs to ensure regulatory compliance and workforce competency.

+ Ensure facility compliance with company and regulatory agency policies - including federal, state, and local legislation and regulations pertaining to worker safety.
Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting
+ Accurately maintain and report safety and health metrics at the site level and within designated Nestlé systems.

+ Ensure the practical implementation and day-to-day compliance with applicable SH&E department guidelines.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree preferred; safety, health, or similar discipline.
+ Professional certifications in SH&E-related fields are considered beneficial and may include ASP, CSP, CIH, OHST, NEBOSH, etc.
Critical Experiences
+ 1-2 years' experience in an Occupational Safety & Health role or related field in a manufacturing environment.
+ Demonstrated ability to lead in a team environment.
+ Understanding of ISO 14001, OHSAS 45001, LEAN and TPM concepts.
+ Working knowledge of OSHA and Workman's Compensation. Ability to reference, comprehend, and communicate applicable regulations is required.

Primary Function

Currently we are seeking full-time, BC/BE Occupational Medicine physicians to join our teams in the following locations:

  • Folsom (part-time)
  • Fresno
  • Manteca
  • Richmond
  • South Sacramento (part-time)

  • Vallejo


Full-time annual salary range is $317,520 to $27,000 plus additional potential incentives of 22,460*. Reduced schedules with pro-rated compensation may be available. *Additional incentive opportunities are available based on geographic location, experience and include potential premium pay.


Per Diem opportunities available at:

  • Vacaville


Per Diem salary range is 155 to 160 per hour.
