We are seeking a **Front-end Developer** to support the Department of Housing and Urban Development's Office of the Chief Information Officer (HUD OCIO).
The Front-end Developer will implement component-based, responsive web interfaces supporting HUD's AI/ML proofs of concept and pilots. This role will ensure interfaces are visually appealing, performant, accessible, and aligned with HCD/UX designs.
This is a hybrid remote position based in Washington, D.C. that will require some onsite work at the customer's location. An estimated 25% annual travel within the U.S. will be required.
**Responsibilities**
+ Develop responsive web applications using React, HTML, CSS, and modern front-end frameworks.
+ Integrate AI-enabled features as specified by design and data science teams.
+ Collaborate with UX designers to implement design systems and accessibility standards (Section 508).
+ Participate in iterative development and continuous integration within CI/CD pipelines.
+ Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain front-end applications for performance and scalability.
+ Document code, components, and implementation for HUD governance and AI inventory updates.
Requirements
**Required Experience and Skills**
+ 5+ years of front-end development experience with React, HTML, and CSS.
+ Experience implementing AI-enhanced interfaces or working with data-driven applications.
+ Familiarity with component-based design, responsive layouts, and accessibility standards, including Section 508 accessibility compliance and WCAG standards.
+ Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline (GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
+ Previous experience in regulated/federal government environments is a plus.
+ Previous experience supporting HUD OCIO preferred.
+ Ability to pass required Federal background screening and obtain and maintain both government clearance and customer approval.
+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

**Pay Range**

● Designs and builds web pages using a variety of graphics software applications, techniques, and tools.

The likely salary range for this position is $108,979 - $147,443. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

**Responsibilities**
+ Develop and maintain collaboration tools, custom financial tools, custom spectrum management tools, and other unique applications developed for an aerospace audience.
+ Create new software with modern features, and modify existing software to correct errors, improve performance or provide additional features.
+ Integrate multiple technologies, both custom and COTS, into a seamless application.
+ Design and implement database tables, repositories and queries.
+ Develop documentation including requirements specifications, block diagrams and logic flow charts.
+ Work with team members to ensure task deadlines are met. Test, debug, and refine the software to produce the required product.
**Desired Skills**
+ Related experience or knowledge in any of the following programming languages: ColdFusion, Angular, Node.js, Express, React, SharePoint, Java, JavaScript, JQuery, C#, .Net or HTML.
+ Knowledge or experience with databases, especially Microsoft SQL Server, is also beneficial.
