**Job Summary:**
+ Responsible for the installation, commissioning, diagnosis, repair, and start-up of HVAC systems, utilizing knowledge of air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, air distribution, controls and mechanical layouts.
+ Responsible for planning, analyzing and timely completion of assigned projects and activities.
+ Uses a variety of hand tools, along with interpreting construction drawings, plans, and specifications, in order to mount, hang, fit, and install equipment and systems.
+ Ensures compliance with internal contracting processes.
+ Performs site surveys, replacements, modifications and start-up as needed or requested by customers.
+ Prepares for on-site installation by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work, and coordinating with other trades as necessary.

**Qualifications:**
+ A High School Diploma or equivalent required, and preferably 2-5 years of experience in Commercial HVAC Installation.

+ State Contractor Licenses a plus (e.g. HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, Gas Installer etc.).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs preventive maintenance, routine equipment repairs, and routine corrective maintenance on mechanical/HVAC equipment (compressors, air dryers, process cooling water systems, process vacuum systems, chilled water pumps, etc.)

**Essential Functions**
+ Installs various types of air conditioning/heating and refrigeration units, in accordance with local codes, manufacturers' recommendations and standard specifications to include charging the system, performing installation start-up and checking operation procedures.
+ Diagnoses equipment failures and performs necessary repairs by making appropriate adjustments to the system and/or replacing malfunctioning components. Performs repairs, inspections, required adjustments, testing, troubleshooting, cleaning, lubrication, and scheduled maintenance on assigned HVAC and refrigeration systems, subsystems and components in accordance with schematics, wiring and flow diagrams, standard operating procedures, operation manuals, manufacturers' specifications, maintenance instructions, and local and federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards.
+ Performs preventive, scheduled, unscheduled or corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and tests on all HVAC/Refrigeration systems, subsystems and components using measuring equipment such as multi-meters, flow meters, pressure gauges, leak detectors, vacuum pumps, pneumatic control testers, air velocity indicators, and other instruments and tools as required.
+ Operates special shop equipment (drill, grinders, fork trucks, hoists and cranes). Maintains HVAC, air conditioning and refrigeration systems by performing scheduled maintenance inspections and test, removing, replacing, or repairing defective or worn parts, lubricating and cleaning or recharging equipment; performing leak detection tests; soldering or brazing tubing and piping; installing and replacing filters, metering devices and solenoids; and adjusting or calibrating pneumatic equipment to manufacturers' specifications using approved procedures and test equipment.
+ Maintains HVAC electrical components (circuits, wiring, starters, relays and motors) by performing maintenance inspections and test, removing, replacing and repairing defective or worn parts, cleaning and lubricating components as needed. Calibrates and adjusts electrical control devices such as thermostats, humidistats, modulating valves, relays and controllers, to assure that various WMATA facilities are adequately maintained and in operational condition.
+ Completes the required forms, tags, and other documentation that describe maintenance work. Enters data into the Authority maintenance database and prepares parts requisitions for the supervisor's approval, in order to maintain the integrity of WMATA's equipment and assure compliance with local and federal documentation standards.
**Other Functions**
+ Attends and passes the required safety training classes and continuously learns industry best practices for working safely and efficiently. Performs assignments according to established industry and WMATA¿s safety practices and maintenance guidelines.
+ Supports response efforts in emergencies by providing immediate maintenance to protect assets. Responds to, and provides assistance during severe weather emergencies, ensuring safety requirements are met/exceeded accordingly, delivering an excellent customer service experience and maximizing productivity.

**Service Projects Manager:**
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
Responsible for the successful completion of all aspects of the assigned contract between EMCOR Service Scalise Industries and the client for assigned Service Group Projects.

+ Perform computerized takeoffs.
+ Contact vendors and subcontractors to ensure adequate pricing for the projects and adequate scope coverage.
+ Review incoming scope prepared by vendors and subcontractors for compliance with contract requirements.
+ Assemble and evaluate all labor data for final use and input into estimate file.
+ Note any special conditions or considerations taken while in take-off mode on drawings.
+ Assist in preparing schedules and manpower loading and assembly of bids.
+ Forge and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors to promote partnership.
+ Acquire a working knowledge of the Trimble Auto Bid Estimating System. Acquire the ability to operate the systems through constant training.

**Qualifications:**
+ Minimum of three years of experience in Mechanical Project Management and/or Trade School or Union Apprenticeship Program.

+ Be familiar with and be able to trouble shoot large VFD Drives.
+ Experience with air cooled reciprocating and screw chillers is a plus.

+ Experience with Windows and MS Office and COINS a plus.

The commercial service industry is very stable and is not going to decline anytime in the foreseeable future. The Driver is responsible for the safe operation of company trucks for timely delivery of products to customer and company locations. The driver will safely load, unload, and transfer products as needed utilizing various equipment and forklifts within the branch location, trucks/trailers and sites. The driver will need to have effective and high-quality customer service skills as well as assist the branch/warehouse operations.

Responsibilities may include:
  • Load, unload and deliver products to customer sites within designated time frames safely using the most efficient routes possible.
  • Maintain required logs and reports necessary to maintain compliance with DOT and Company policies relating to safety standards and operation of delivery vehicles, forklifts etc.
  • Safely load and properly block, brace, and secure the cargo.
  • Strong knowledge of driving/traffic and transportation laws, regulations and ensure continuous compliance while operating the truck(s).
  • Operate forklift safely and efficiently to transfer, load, unload product - ensure accurate product and quantity of product is being loaded into customer.
  • Perform pre-check and post-check operations of Company vehicles and forklifts per required procedures.
  • Perform warehouse duties and ensure accurate product and quantity of product is being loaded / transferred for customers.
  • Notify the manager immediately of any accidents, damage, violations, and areas of concerns to implement corrective measures and/or actions.
  • Follow good housekeeping and safety practices at all times.
  • Act as the warehouse and/or front counter back up as needed.
  • Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs

Knowledge & Skills:
  • Safe driving skills: proven abilities to safely operate a flat bed or box truck.
  • Must meet and pass DOT standards.
  • Ability to successfully pass forklift training and delivery truck driving tests through our Prove it Pass it training within 30 working days of start date.
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift as needed.
  • Ability to safely load/transfer products to designated locations in a timely manner without causing damage.
  • High level of attention to detail and surroundings
  • Ability to follow all policies and established practices for branch, driving and warehouse operations.
  • Ability to apply good judgement, strong work ethics and integrity on the job.
  • Must be compliant and results oriented.
  • Be dependable, work well in a team environment, and establish positive working relationships with employees and customers.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic Computer skills include data entry to process transactions and generate reports and orders.
  • Able to multi-task well with the ability to assist in warehouse or front counter or a branch as needed.
  • Must be reliable and dependable; and able to work assigned hours and days

Experience:
  • 2 plus consecutive years of driving a commercial vehicle
  • Current Valid Driver License with excellent driving record
  • 2 plus years of warehouse / logistics experience is a plus

Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (for example GED)
  • Previous training on operating forklifts and delivery trucks is highly preferred

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
  • Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • DOT screening annually.
