**Position Purpose:**
Customer Service/Sales associates provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance. These associates learn about products using our tools, and provide information to customers in order to sell an entire project. Associates in this position will learn how to greet, qualify, recommend and close every customer in their department, and know how to handle basics in adjacent departments. Customer Service/Sales associates maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, and ensure it is clean, shop-able, and safe. Each associate has the responsibility of providing a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards, completing specified safety training, immediately correcting hazards & unsafe conditions or reporting conditions to the Manager on Duty, and working safely as not to endanger themselves, co-workers, vendors, or customers. **Your Day at Lowe's**
As a Customer Service Associate, you will welcome customers to Lowe's and help them find the right products and services for their home improvement needs. + Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable
+ Other duties as assigned*
**Skills and Experience:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
+ Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred
+ Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required
+ Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
+ Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required
+ Strong organizational and communication skills are required
+ Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required
