Job Description
SUMMARY: The Field Service Pipe Fitter Technician will be responsible for the layout, fabrication, assembly, repair and maintenance of hydraulic/pneumatic piping and tubing systems. These systems can be found in various industrial settings, including manufacturing plants, power plants, refineries, drilling sites and construction sites. Your work will involve establishing the best layout of plumbing routes, verifying materials and tolerances, selecting minimum allowed bend radius based on material size and application angles, etc. Materials will include carbon steel and stainless-steel alloys of various sizes and lengths. The position will report to the Field Service Manager.

EDUCATION:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Trade School or other certifications.
- Completion of a pipe/tube fitting apprenticeship program or equivalent on-the-job training.
- Pipe/Tube Bending: Min of 1 year (Required), 2 years (Preferred).
- Hydraulic Plumbing Fabrication and Installation: Min of 1 year (Required), 2 years (Preferred).
- In-Field Service and Installation: 1 year (Preferred).
- Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong mathematical and measurement skills.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Organization skills

**Summary**
A Hydraulic Engineer is responsible for designing, testing, and maintaining hydraulic systems. They utilize their expertise in fluid mechanics, physics, and engineering principles to analyze and develop sustainable solutions for hydraulic fluid power operated machines.
**Responsibilities**
1. Designing and analyzing hydraulic systems, including hoses and fittings, pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, rotary swivels, etc.
2. Creating and reading hydraulic schematics in accordance with company and industry standards.
3. Collaborating with other engineers and professionals to develop hydraulic systems which integrate well with the mechanical structures and electrical circuits.
4. Identifying and evaluating potential risks and hazards associated with hydraulic systems and implementing appropriate safety measures.
5. Performing hydraulic calculations, simulations, and modeling to predict the behavior and performance of hydraulic systems.
6. Overseeing the construction and installation of hydraulic systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
7. Conducting research and staying up to date on the latest advancements in hydraulic fluid power technologies and components.
8. Managing project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively to ensure project success.
9. Collaborating with sales and service representatives of the company to verify customer experience and continuously improve the hydraulic systems.
10. Troubleshooting issues and failures of hydraulic components in the shop and field both in-person and over the phone.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
Bachelor's Degree and/or a minimum of 5 years' experience in a related field.
**EXPERIENCE**
+ 1-2 years direct industry work experience preferred
+ Knowledge and experience working on/with mobile hydraulic equipment
+ Design software - 3D and 2D (SolidWorks, OnShape and Automation Studio preferred).
+ Microsoft Office-Proficient in Excel and Word
+ IFPS Fluid Power Certification preferred

SOL Engineering Services, LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Hydrologist with a strong background in FEMA Public Assistance (PA) projects to join our team. This position involves managing and overseeing hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, floodplain mapping, and risk assessments for disaster response and recovery projects. The Senior Hydrologist will work closely with cross-functional teams, FEMA representatives, and local agencies to ensure compliance with FEMA regulations and the successful delivery of project objectives. If you have previous FEMA experience in a related field of expertise and you are currently living in an area listed below and/or have the availability to deploy, please submit your resume.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Public Assistance (PA) Experience is in high demand for deployment considerations and is required by FEMA. Experience must be 1 or more years of deployment regional, state or local level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, including floodplain mapping, risk assessments, and disaster response modeling.

- Proven experience with FEMA Public Assistance projects, including FEMA documentation, project formulation, and grants management.
- Strong knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, and GIS applications.
