We are seeking a passionate and skilled Ice Cream Maker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating delicious ice cream flavors while ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. You will be responsible for determining flavors and quantity needed on a daily basis as well as keeping track of inventory on hand and needed for ice cream.
Duties
  • Prepare and mix ingredients for various ice cream flavors, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Operate ice cream machines and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor production processes to maintain food safety standards and hygiene practices.
  • Package finished products for sale, ensuring proper labeling and presentation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all food handling and cleaning standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with customers or during tastings.
  • Must be able to work front of store if needed. Opening, Closing and weekend shifts may be required.
Experience
Ideal candidates will have experience in the food industry, particularly in roles related to food production or preparation. The following skills are highly desirable:

  • Culinary experience with a focus on baking and/or ice cream making.
  • Proficiency in food handling and safety practices.
  • Previous experience in catering or restaurant environments is a plus.
  • Excellent Communication skills.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Performs machine set-up, machining, welding set-up, welding, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending and fabrication tasks
  • Performs composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasks
  • Assembles airspace structures
  • Prepares test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests
  • Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation
  • Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements
  • Works on articles of moderate complexity using established drawings and requirements

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications
  • 1+ years of mechanical experience as a machinist, mechanic or other mechanical aptitudes
  • Ability to work any shift based on the needs of the operation
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, bending, kneeling and lifting

MACHINE OPERATOR

Location: Clearwater, Florida

Schedule: Varying 8hr Shifts available 5days/week Sun-Sat.

POSITION SUMMARY :  Production Employees may be assigned to any department or machine in the plant. Flexibility and cross training are expected because as business conditions and needs change employee assignments may be changed.  Assigned responsibility could include machine or process operation and inspection.  Specific duties may vary between departments and / or processes. 

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Read work instructions from work order or traveler.  Able to identify a quality product applied to and produced at the assigned manufacturing process.  Consult with Supervisor or previous shift operators to determine status of in process work, machine conditions and other work to be completed.
  • Set up manufacturing equipment, in reasonable time, using documented procedures, to produce quality product.   Responsible to understand the operation of the manufacturing process in order to produce a quality product and to be proficient at machine operation.   Observe machine operation to determine accuracy of operation and make subsequent adjustments as required to produce quality products efficiently.
  • Inform Manager of any irregularities in material, equipment, procedures etc. including advance notice of need to replenish consumable wear parts.  Responsible for maintaining crew compliance with established operating procedures.  Maintain product and scrap identification. 
  • Record required information on forms and/or electronic I/O devices.  Communicate with other crewmembers to overcome or correct problems as they occur.  Assist other operators as required during a downtime situation.  Familiar with all process chemicals used in work area.
  • Operate plant mobile equipment and overhead cranes (pendant and radio controlled).
  • Observe all safety rules and procedures including wearing designated personal protective equipment and lock out tag out.  Work with Managers, Foreman, Engineers, Technical Development on process improvement projects.  Participate in Continuous Improvement activities as requested. 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be a team player and communicate well with others.
  • Will train! Experience with Manufacturing process equipment, including but not limited to measurement tools – micrometers, weigh scales, hand tools – wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, test equipment – eddy current, voltmeters preferred, but will train the right person.
  • Highschool Diploma or GED
  • Requires the ability to pass a pre-employment test which includes a background check, physical including drug and alcohol screen.
