Successful completion of arrhythmia recognition course and successful orientation to the monitor room to work as a monitor technician is required within 6 months of hire for staff in the FWBH MCU and the FMFH 2nd floor MCU. Candidates with prior monitor technician experience may complete a written competency test to meet this requirement.

SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:

Ability to read, write and communicate verbal and written communication.

LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:

State of Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Certification is required, otherwise must be currently enrolled in a nursing program and able to provide documentation from an accredited school for professional nurses indicating successful completion of the basic nursing course which encompass all of the criteria noted by the State of Wisconsin administrative code and a minimum experience of one acute care nursing medical/surgical clinical rotation. • Directly manages Clinical Services team members while on shift which includes but is not limited to:
• Manages early call-ins, early departures, call-offs, sharing of resources, breaks and lunches for team members

• Addresses process or employee issues during their shift
• Communicates schedule changes, performance concerns and shift issues to the Clinical Manager routinely
• Serves as first level responder to client concerns and drug escalations
• Trains and mentors new team members

Job Requirements: Education/Skills Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred Experience Minimum of 2 years of combined experience required in both the Critical Care setting and one other specialty (e.g. Medsurg, Telemetry, IMC or Emergency)5 years of experience preferred Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications BLS requiredACLS requiredRN License in the state of employment or compact requiredPALS is required at CHRISTUS Children’s HospitalNRP is required at CHRISTUS Children’s Hospital Work Schedule: 7PM - 7AM Work Type: Full Time
