Fairview Range is hiring a Medical Imaging Assistant for our Diagnostic Imaging Department in Hibbing, MN .
As a Medical Imaging Assistant, you are responsible for providing diagnostic imaging support for patients with the knowledge and ability to collect information, assess, and intervene as appropriate in the care of patients. Coordinates and works with the other members of the patient care team by performing a wide range of administrative and clinical functions. Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, insurance verification, rooming patients, taking vitals and health history, documenting in an electronic medical record, assisting technologists and RNs, and other duties as assigned.
Schedule: This position will work 72 to 80 hours per two weeks. The shift length will be 8-hours on the Day/Evening shift. Weekends: As Needed

Overview:
Provides direct patient care consistent with the established standard of practice, the goals of Mercy, and the Mercy Code of Conduct. Responsible for supplies, stocking, equipment cleaning and patient care in Imaging Services as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience:None
- Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certifications:Current BLS certification or completed within 30 days of hire.
- Other: This individual must be capable of: lifting, moving, and transporting patients; continual standing and walking; recognizing emergency situations; adapting to stressful situations; communicating effectively. Equipment Used: This individual should be proficient in the basic use of computers.Physical Requirements:* Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.* Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.* Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
