JOB PURPOSE:
Directs all administrative and financial activities relating to the efficient operation of Imaging Services. Provides resource management for support activities in all ancillary imaging cost centers. Responsibilities include materials management, finance, budgeting planning, human resources, and marketing activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Directs and manages daily departmental operations of all imaging departments.
2. Develops and manages budget for all cost centers.
3. Coordinates and manages all materials management functions.
4. Manages all support and technical personnel.
5. Manages costs.
6. Provides leadership of personnel through guidance, feedback and delegation.
7. Ensures that departmental operations meet established criteria and standards set forth
by regulatory and other accreditation bodies.
8. Develops departmental goals and objectives in collaboration with Administrative and Medical Directors, and department staff.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelors degree in Radiology, Business Management, Health Science, Finance or related field.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Seven (7) years of hospital technical radiology experience to include three (3) years of leadership experience.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Must be ARRT or ARDMS or NMTCB registered.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Masters Degree preferred.
Thorough knowledge of all areas of Radiology.
High degree of technical knowledge in all imaging specialty areas including CT, MR, IR, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography and Diagnostics.
Must be self-motivated with the ability to direct and manage a diverse group of employees. Prefer that the candidate be a Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA), by the American Healthcare Radiology Administrators (AHRA).

Responsibilities
The Imaging Services Supervisor is accountable for the direct coordination and supervision of unit operations. Serves as a role model and resource for patient care. Provides leadership and promotes team building among staff. Facilitates communication among staff, physicians, management and all other customers. Responsible for effective implementation of policies, procedures & standards. Supports and models preferred employee and employer profiles. Performs duties in his/her clinical capacity as needed.
Under the direction of the Department Manager, the Imaging Services Supervisor is responsible for coordination and supervision in the areas of:
* Assisting Coordinators with department orientation, and annual mandatory training programs.
* Employee coaching, performance appraisal feedback and disciplinary process.
* Management support tasks.
* Assisting Manager with payroll and budgetary processes.
* Quality planning and monitoring.
* Monitoring modality work schedules and vacation requests.
* Ordering supplies and or equipment as appropriate.
* Assisting Manager with staff in-services and department meetings.

* Interviewing and providing feedback on applicants for potential hire.

Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience:
Three years of experience in a radiology modality with at least one year as Lead Technologist or Imaging Coordinator preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Current state licensure in Radiology or related Imaging modality.
A.R.R.T. in Radiology, and/or national certification in a related Imaging modality is required.
Skills:
Demonstrated positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians and the community.

Supports and adheres to Tennessee Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Conduct and Business Standards
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Accountable for a comprehensive and effective communication strategy within the Imaging department that promotes a culture of two-way communication.
* Responsible for planning of future growth by assessing existing and future departmental needs, establishing priorities, and identifying fiscal and human resources for development.
* Develops operational plans and provides regular reports to Tennessee Oncology leadership on the status of radiology services.
* Establishes policies to effectively support high quality, highly satisfied and cost-effective patient care in accordance with Tennessee Oncology policies. Responsible for the overall efficient utilization of radiology services.
* Responsible for standardizing policies and procedures throughout the imaging department establishing Tennessee Oncology's approach to providing radiology services.
* Works with all Tennessee Oncology clinical sites to assure coordination of services, program development and optimal integration of services and inter-working relationships.
* Initiates, manages, and monitors appropriate interventions to ensure compliance with American College of Radiology, inspections, and all other licensure requirements. Reviews and acts on inspecting agencies' reports and keeps Tennessee Oncology leadership informed. Ensures radiology services comply with all regulatory requirements, including obtaining and maintaining credentials, certifications, and accreditations needed for operations of the Imaging Department
* Responsible for all radiology facility improvement and expansion projects; working with Tennessee Oncology's facilities department, architects, and contractors.
* Responsible for tracking and resolving all patient/physician/staff complaints in accordance with Tennessee Oncology policies.
* Provides the Tennessee Department of Health all requested reports including but not limited to utilization reports for all Tennessee Oncology imaging sites and JAR reports Tennessee Oncology IDTF sites.
* Perform bi-annual QA audits at all Tennessee Oncology imaging sites.
* Assessing and predicting accurate staffing needs.
* Responsible for day-to-day operations of all modalities at all Tennessee Oncology imaging sites.
* Comprehensive knowledge of CT cross-sectional anatomy, positioning, radiographic techniques, and radiation protection concepts.
* Orients and mentors new staff members.
* Demonstrates outstanding customer service and displays appropriate behavior.
* Performs all duties in accordance with Tennessee Oncology Policies and Procedures Manual and supplemental procedure established for its Imaging Centers.
* Responsible for ensuring Radiation Safety practices are being followed appropriately throughout Tennessee Oncology Imaging Centers
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
* Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
* BSRT required
* Minimum 3 years management experience in a healthcare setting
* Registered Technologist with experience in an outpatient facility
* Certification in PET and CT is preferred
* Current Certification in Basic Life Support required.

**Responsibilities**
Assist technologists to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems and provide support for the imaging department.
+ Explain procedures to patient to ensure understanding. Provide appropriate educational material.
+ Transport patients to and from clinical areas and verify patient identity according to policies and procedures. Assist technologists with preparing patient for radiology exam by positioning the patient for the procedure.
+ Assist technologists with picture archiving and communication system (PACS) and electronic medical records (EMR) documentation on an as needed basis.
+ Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

Summary:

Requirements:
