**Required Skills:**
Research Scientist, Imaging Systems and Image Processing (PhD) Responsibilities:
1. Contribute to the development of the next-generation imaging systems for wearable AR/VR/AI devices
2. Collaborate with internal/external image sensor technologists and camera designers to define new sensor features and imaging system functionalities
3. Develop image processing algorithms based on novel sensor features to achieve significant power consumption reduction and image quality improvement
4. Develop AI-powered ultra-low-friction camera user interfaces on wearable devices
5. Collaborate with engineering teams on building imaging system prototypes to demonstrate research goals
**Minimum Qualifications:**

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and service-oriented Imaging Systems Administrator to oversee and optimize our radiology imaging infrastructure. This role is critical to maintaining seamless operations across PACS, Voice Recognition, Worklist Systems, RIS, and other radiology workflow platforms. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with strong technical expertise and a commitment to supporting physician productivity through direct engagement and system optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full lifecycle of imaging data, including storage, compression, archiving, retention, and migration.
- Collaborate with internal and external IT/Radiology departments to ensure smooth workflow and system integration.
- Lead product management efforts for imaging systems, including roadmap planning, training, and workflow enhancements.
- Provide hands-on support to radiologists (both remotely and on-site), ensuring optimal system performance and minimal workflow disruption.
- Manage radiology workstations, including installation (often at remote sites), routine maintenance, and software updates.
- Serve as the primary liaison with software vendors (PACS, Voice Recognition, RIS, Worklist, DICOM, HL7) to resolve technical issues.
- Deliver advanced technical support (Tier 2 and Tier 3) to Help Desk staff.
- Participate in a rotational on-call schedule for after-hours and weekend support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the healthcare industry, with preference given to candidates with radiology experience.

At Houston Methodist, the Imaging Systems Administrator position is responsible for the operations and network management of one or more Imaging system(s) for one or multiple departments. The Imaging Systems Administrator is responsible for the imaging information systems to include the daily computer operations, equipment interfaces, and implementation of software upgrades and maintenance of systems. This position is responsible for identifying, evaluating, analyzing, troubleshooting and recommending changes in support of assigned applications and systems. The Imaging Systems Administrator position supports the planning design, development, build, or configuration of supported applications and systems. This position coordinates conversions, application and system testing and documentation of system procedures, participates and provides input in training design and development, and assists in training execution related to assigned projects. Works in partnership with IT, serves as a liaison between management, staff, physicians, and vendors for routine matters as the primary point of contact, resolving questions and issues.
This is primarily a remote position with general hours being Monday-Friday from 8a-4:30p.
PEOPLE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Ensures timely and complete capture of digital images (DICOM, angiographic, ultrasound, or other as relevant) into assigned system(s) including network transmission, validation and imaging reconciliation issues. Configures modalities as appropriate to assigned system(s), which may include those needed for procedure rooms and hybrid OR.

Manages user rights and the granting of database privileges, updating physicians' database as needed for assigned system(s). Provides for efficient workflow processes.

Coordinates and manages all vendor installation, implementations, and demonstrations in conjunction with IT and other impacted departments for assigned system(s). Effectively coordinates resources for timely delivery of projects.

Provides go live and downtime support and serves as the primary point of contact for on-going production maintenance, support and troubleshooting.
QUALITY/SAFETY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Ensures the efficient and effective functionality and reporting of assigned system(s). Maintains control files, databases, system functions; develops, implements, and manages quality control programs. Job Description
At Houston Methodist, the Imaging Systems Administrator position is responsible for the operations and network management of one or more Imaging system(s) for one or multiple departments. The Imaging Systems Administrator is responsible for the imaging information systems to include the daily computer operations, equipment interfaces, and implementation of software upgrades and maintenance of systems. This position is responsible for identifying, evaluating, analyzing, troubleshooting and recommending changes in support of assigned applications and systems. The Imaging Systems Administrator position supports the planning design, development, build, or configuration of supported applications and systems. This position coordinates conversions, application and system testing and documentation of system procedures, participates and provides input in training design and development, and assists in training execution related to assigned projects. Works in partnership with IT, serves as a liaison between management, staff, physicians, and vendors for routine matters as the primary point of contact, resolving questions and issues.
This is primarily a remote position with general hours being Monday-Friday from 8a-4:30p.
PEOPLE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Provides education and training to new staff members, including physicians on use of assigned system(s) as well as on-going training as needed. Coordinates and conducts training for new system implementations or software upgrades.
SERVICE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ensures timely and complete capture of digital images (DICOM, angiographic, ultrasound, or other as relevant) into assigned system(s) including network transmission, validation and imaging reconciliation issues. Configures modalities as appropriate to assigned system(s), which may include those needed for procedure rooms and hybrid OR.
- Manages user rights and the granting of database privileges, updating physicians' database as needed for assigned system(s). Provides for efficient workflow processes.
- Coordinates and manages all vendor installation, implementations, and demonstrations in conjunction with IT and other impacted departments for assigned system(s). Effectively coordinates resources for timely delivery of projects.
- Provides go live and downtime support and serves as the primary point of contact for on-going production maintenance, support and troubleshooting.
QUALITY/SAFETY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ensures the efficient and effective functionality and reporting of assigned system(s). Maintains control files, databases, system functions; develops, implements, and manages quality control programs. Develops and provides reports for performance indicators and other imaging operation outcomes and metrics.
- Monitors systems for unreconciled imaging issues in patient information and makes corrections as needed. Identifies and communicates opportunities for improvement to management.
- Monitors and manages operations of assigned system(s) including image workflow, archiving, auto routing, pre-fetching, and other related activities. Troubleshoots problems and collaborates with IT to resolve issues related to assigned system(s) and application(s). Investigates and resolves problems or presents proposals for solutions as needed. Develops, maintains, and communicates contingency plans for planned and unplanned downtimes to assigned system(s).

ARDMS - American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS, RDCS, RVT, or RMSKS)
CCI - Cardiovascular Credentialing International (ACS, RCCS, RCS or RVS) AND - CMRT for ARRT and NMTCB certifications only
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS - PREFERRED
