Overview
The International Operations Agent is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day air export of international freight forwarding shipments out of the USA of international transportation based upon customer requests.
Responsibilities
- Work with customers to qualify their shipping requirements and obtain all details (regulations, certificates, documentation) necessary for shipment quotation and operating in order to ensure the customer's request is satisfied.
- Prepare profitable quotations accurately.
- Complete shipment process in Cargowise, including data entry, pickup/delivery scheduling, AES entry, airline bookings, routing and operational milestone updates.
- Coordinate the day to day air export of products, including reviewing orders and documents.
- Track and communicate all delays, damages, problems, and work to resolve customer issues.
- Responsible for all aspects of air export international operations such as customer service, data entry of shipments, operations, and billing.
- Manage all aspects of tracking shipments to ensure shipment is moving as scheduled and update system immediately upon verification. Identify and rectify if a shipment has deviated from its schedule.
- Coordinate recovery/delivery schedules with various cartage agents and international partners.
- Partner with local sales teams to communicate problems to customers, international partners and other stations, as needed.
- Ensure all customers' SOP instructions are adhered to and AIT KPIs and guidelines are followed and met.
- Ensure all shipments are properly billed within company guidelines and timelines.
- Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands deem necessary.
- The wage range for this position is $34.30-$47.40 and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience

Communicates directions to transportation managers. Updates systems and tracks the movement of containers to ensure delivery compliance. Engages with port officials and carriers to facilitate container movement.
+ Manages the web-based container visibility tool by conducting systemic updates. Develops and implements enhancements. Trains users (for example, merchants, suppliers, Replenishment associates). Grants user-level access. Implements rollout to additional markets.
+ Speaks on behalf of the company and executes daily guidance to contractual business partners (for example, ports, railheads, ocean carriers, motor carriers, container yards, port entities) to ensure the satisfaction of contract deliverables.
+ Analyzes and manages individual market service provider financial results against goals by compiling divisional financial results for senior leadership presentations. Identifies the factors involved in driving performance and achieving stated goals. Develops and maintains cost reduction solutions. Communicates with service provider business entities (for example, Carrier Relations associates, transportation managers, import distribution centers) to ensure financial goals are met.
+ Researches data to execute approvals for payment for accessorial invoices according to contractual terms (for example, dwell, detention, and demurrage) in amounts up to $200 million per year. Oversees the processing of manual invoices (for example, chassis repair, split chassis moves, bobtails, genset electricity). Ensures invoices are charged to the responsible entity based on contract terms and conditions. Manages the profit and loss for assigned facilities.
+ Develops and manages reporting metrics of port and network service providers by creating forecast documentation. Prepares summaries of inbound and outbound carrier performance. Creates and analyzes exceptions reports. Communicates with corporate teams to address and resolve exceptions.
+ Manages and monitors day-to-day service provider (for example, drayage, origin service, ocean carrier) operational performance in relation to key performance metrics (for example, lead time, productivity, accuracy, on-time delivery) by developing and communicating metrics, evaluating the performance of service provider operations. OverviewThe Air Import Gateway Operations Agent, II is to process routine to moderately complex import transactions, including all related activities in breakbulk operations in imports. Additionally, responsible to document preparation and traffic coordination of Import goods. + Supports determination of Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) and Country of Origin (COO) determination & application for maintenance repair operations (MRO) inventory.
+ Supporting ETC products for import and export purposes in accordance with the U.S. Harmonized Tariff System (HTS) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and Other Government Agencies (OGA) as applicable.
+ Monitor day-to-day activities across function groups which support import and export activities.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Trade Compliance Specialist to support our Customers global import classification program. This role will focus on U.S. import compliance, working closely with external brokers and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate HTS classification, regulatory alignment, and timely shipment clearance. + Create and maintain process and procedures.
+ Create effective and clear communication with stakeholders (Emails, Presentations, etc.)
