**Responsibilities:**
+ Manage import transactions to ensure the timely, compliant clearance of products and materials to US BD facilities and customer locations.
+ Responsible for classifying imported goods with HTS codes per US Customs' rules and regulations.
+ Responsible for classifying imported goods with Partner Government Agency (PGA) data per import scenarios, including FDA, USDA, EPA etc.
+ Responsible for acquiring product details from business SME's for HTS classification and required PGA data from Regulatory.
+ Assess accuracy of commercial invoice(s) to comply with US Customs requirements and responsible to address the non-compliant invoice issues with the right parties to get the correction.
+ Provide timely clearance instructions to brokers.
+ Work with regulatory, brokers and government agencies on the release of shipments held by government agencies including Customs and FDA.
+ Provide instructions to shippers/vendors re: BD import process, to ship properly with required documentation and expected ways of communications.
+ Manage import EDI transactions and trouble shoot system issues.
+ Manage brokers' service performance and address operational issues.
+ Responsible to ensure brokers' comprehension and execution of BD SOP.
+ Responsible for maintaining and updating BD broker import SOP per changes.
+ Responsible for managing brokers' ISF filing process and performance.
+ Conduct post entry audit of import entries to ensure brokers' entry filing is accurate and compliant.
+ Interpret government import rules and regulations and provide guidance to support business strategies.
+ Work cross-functionally with Global Transportation, Procurement, Master Data Organization, Regulatory, Distribution Centers and others to ensure that all import trade compliance requirements are met.
+ Identify standard import process for BD business units.
**Education and/or Experience Required:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business or Supply Chain or a related subject area
+ Minimal 3 years of prior experience in Global Trade import customs brokerage & compliance management.
+ Sufficient knowledge and experience of managing import brokerage activities, fully understands CBP and other government agencies' requirements for US imports.
+ Prior experience of HTS classification
