The Opportunity Wonderschool is building an AI-powered operating system for childcare providers — enabling them to grow profitable businesses, increase their income, and reduce operational complexity. As Product Manager for Provider Experience, you will own the full provider journey: onboarding, business coaching, income optimization, and retention. You’ll lead the development of core tools that help providers increase net income by 30% shortly after joining, and 5% annually through automated, AI-powered systems. If you like helping people, this job is for you. You will implement ideas and help your clients become their ultimate best by assisting them to reach their goals. Daily activities will enhance the development of their skills. Each consumer's goals and objectives are different. On one day you may be taking them to the gym to increase their health and wellness goal or on another day, you will be assisting them as they study to take a test for school. You will need to maintain all assigned documentation and data regarding their progress. As the educator you will sometimes need to provide personal care for them. Punctuality and empathy will be an important skill that is needed to carry out these responsibilities. Monthly mastermind meetings to collaborate with your peers and case manager will be held to ensure you are supported with the resources necessary for an excellent outcome of goals.

Description:

• Under general direction of the Case Manager assists in coordinating and planning schedules of daily activities to facilitate learning experiences
• Serves as an additional liaison with the consumer’s family and other agencies

Position Requirements:

• Valid CA Driver’s License
• Safe, reliable vehicle with current registration and insurance
• Recent DMV print-out with good driving record
• Ability to lift between 50 to 75 lbs. depending on individuals served and pass post-offer physical
• CPR and First Aid training within 14 business days of start date
• Read, speak, write English
• Ability to work independently with or without direct supervision
• Exercise sound judgment at all times
• Ability to effectively and communicate in writing, i.e. telephone, email, reports, etc.

Desirable Qualifications:

• 6 months of volunteer or paid work experience of persons with disabilities
• Ability to conform to work schedule that may be split
• Bilingual in Spanish and or Chinese or Mandarin
• High School graduate or higher education preferred

• Ability to communicate effectively written and orally
• Experience in providing community based direct services for individuals with disabilities
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision
• Ability to creatively develop an individual program of services to meet consumer needs

ACT provides Independent Living Services to adults with developmental disabilities throughout the county of San Diego. Independent Living is an in-home support program to provide training, assistance, and support in all aspects of daily home and life care. Such areas of training are budgeting, cooking, menu planning, grocery shopping, cleaning, scheduling/attending medical appointments, assisting with accessing community resources and maintaining state or county benefits, responding to incoming correspondence and maintaining a file system, resolving personal conflicts, or other areas as needed by our clients. ACT also provides parenting training and support as part of its Independent Living program.

Prior experience working with developmental disabilities is required or in a relatable capacity. Relevant education in human services/social work will be considered as well. Full and part time positions available. Our services are based upon a caseload, and therefore scheduling can be highly flexible. Reliable transportation is required.

Responsibilities

• The Independnt Living Skills Coach/Mental Health Worker works as part of an Intensive Residential Treatment Services team that provides care, treatment and rehabilitation for persons served who are experiencing significant mental health/psychiatric symptoms; who are demonstrating significant functional impairments; and who may have co-occurring disorders
• Provides assistance to person(s) served in order to promote their physical, social, and psychological well-being
• Interacts frequently and positively with person(s) served and support staff to promote the rights of the person(s) served to achieve an enhanced quality of life
• Assists Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioners with requested needs
• Follows agency procedures to promote optimum health care, safety practice and behavioral supports to maintain the well-being of person(s) served
