The **Industrial Sales** role is responsible for cultivating and maintaining long-term relationships with end users, contractors, and engineering firms while driving sales growth and market share within an assigned territory. The position involves evaluating customer needs, strategically identifying opportunities, and delivering professional sales presentations and workshops. Collaboration with internal teams is key to ensuring accurate quotes, resolving customer concerns, managing budgets, and maintaining up-to-date sales information.
**What's the job?**
+ Cultivate, nurture, and maintain long term relationships with end users, electrical contractors, general contractors and/or engineering firms.
+ Evaluate customer needs and product and service marketability for assigned territory.
+ Responsible for the strategic penetration into assigned territory including identification and pursuit of targeted markets and opportunities.
+ Work with Sales Support to ensure quoted details are accurate, complete and communicated effectively and timely.
+ Grow market share within assigned territory. Set and meet monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals and objectives.
+ Develop and deliver sales presentations, workshops, etc. in a professional and effective manner.
+ Work with customers and various internal functions to resolve problems related to products and services as needed.
+ Manage budget, participate in forecasting, and maintain associated metrics.
+ Consult with leadership team regarding current and future products and services.
+ Remain current on industry trends and Wolverine Power Systems products and services.
+ Maintain knowledge of competitor Industrial products and services.
+ Update and maintain Generac GenConnect system with sales and customer information.
+ This position reports to a specified Wolverine location and travels throughout the assigned territory.

**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred
+ 2+ years of experience in a sales role is required, sales experience in the construction industry or a customer vertical is preferred

The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to remain in a stationary position extended periods of time and be able to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

+ Constantly communicate and exchange information with team members and must be able to effectively communicate correct information with vendors.

+ Occasionally will move objects up to 10 pounds which includes bend, squat, kneel, crouch, and reach above shoulder to access materials and/or for document archiving.
+ Climb flight of stairs daily for positions located in Zeeland office.
+ Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus to compare and distinguish accounting and administrative data.
+ Hearing ability to perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking level with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make discriminations in sound.

Wolverine Power Systems is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short-term and long-term incentives.

Blake Thermal is looking for an energetic, driven team player to join our New York team in an Industrial Sales role. This key role focuses on providing solutions and services around applications including low-pressure steam, hydroponic heating, domestic hot water, water filtration, and water and wastewater applications. This role focuses on building and maintaining relationships and partnerships with engineering firms, contractors, and end users in the industrial, institutional and commercial marketplace.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with key decision makers, influencers, manufacturers, and Blake Thermal team.
- Assist customer with equipment selection, sizing, and estimating based on needs and using a consultative approach to provide customers with the best solutions.
- Prepare and present quotations for customers with support from our inside team.
- Effectively drive sales; meeting or exceeding sales targets for assigned territory.
- Ensure expert delivery of customer value for sustained growth.
- CRM tool with contacts, pipeline, opportunities and forecasts.
- Participate in local trade associations, trade shows, and technical seminars.
- Conduct field events to promote products and solutions.
- Support corporate goals and growth initiatives.
- Collect and share information on competition, market, and industry trends with leadership team.
Requirements:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Strong customer service and sales knowledge and experience.
- Excellent communication, follow up, organizational and record keeping skills.
- Commitment to be part of a winning team.
- Valid driver's license with proven safe driving record.
