Job Summary/Objective

Under the direction of the Department Head of Engineering, Industrial Technology & Skilled Trades, the Coordinator/Instructor leads two curriculum programs-Mechatronics Engineering Technology and Industrial Systems Technology (IST) program-as well as related continuing education instruction. The Coordinator/Instructor teaches many of the core, program-specific courses, such as print reading, hydraulics/pneumatics, safety, mechanisms, welding, electricity, PLCs, instrumentation, automation, CAD, physics and design project. The Coordinator/Instructor develops and maintains the program of study as well. To support student learning, the Coordinator/Instructor stays abreast of innovation in their academic discipline as well as best practices in teaching and operating laboratories, software, equipment, and supplies.

The Coordinator/Instructor is a teaching position, which may carry a full teaching load across both curriculum and continuing education in addition to other program related responsibilities.

TEACHING & LEARNING
Maintain an acceptable teaching work load per College Policy
Maintain teaching skills and subject matter expertise through professional development

PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
Develop and implement annual goals for the program
Recruit and recommend adjunct instructors required in the programs
Supervise, mentor and evaluate adjunct instructors in the programs
Evaluate all adjunct instructors teaching in the programs per College policy
Prepare and submit instructional schedules including the assignment of instructors for all classes
Develop and oversee all course documents, which must be kept current and reviewed at least annually
Maintain records of student attendance and grades per College policy

CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT
Formulate and/or recommend necessary curriculum changes
Ensure the programs have viable advisory committees or Business and Industry Leadership Teams (BILT) that meet regularly and per College policy
Maintain and update texts, videos, and other course resources to meet program and industry needs
Follow College evaluation processes to ensure the program and industry needs are met

STUDENT SUPPORT AND RECRUITMENT
Maintain office hours to support student needs
Serve as the primary academic advisor for the programs
Serve as the chief spokesperson and advocate for the programs
Oversee program advertisement and recruitment that enhances general marketing handled by the Student Services division

MAINTAIN LEARNING SPACES AND SUPPLIES
Prepare a recommended budget for the programs, including travel, materials, supplies, repairs, and equipment
Originate or initial all equipment, material and supply requests for the program
Oversee and certify an annual equipment inventory
Conduct regular safety assessments of the laboratories and submit requests for necessary repairs or maintenance

ADDITIONAL DUTIES
Serve on College or related committees as assigned
Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by the Department Head or Dean

What are we looking for?

The Senior Sales Representative - Remote su pports the Electrical business by direct sales activity including increasing existing sales and identifying and developing new business opportunities for Information Technology and Industrial product testing and certification within an assigned territory/accounts. What you'll do:

  • Sell Intertek's services within assigned vertical, account and territory through effective client research, prospecting and networking.
