Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a highly motivated **Information Assurance Specialist** to support the U.S. Space Force (USSF) at the **Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) Special Security Office (SSO)** , located at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. This role plays a pivotal part in strengthening the cybersecurity posture of Space Force operations across the Indo-Pacific region. You'll work alongside a dynamic team of Information Assurance and IT professionals, collaborating directly with the PACAF Chief ISR Information Security Officer (CIISO), the PACAF Information System Security Manager (ISSM), and subordinate SSOs to ensure secure, compliant operations of Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) systems and infrastructure.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to national defense priorities and support the strategic expansion of Space Force capabilities in the Pacific theater.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Support cybersecurity operations for AFJWICS systems and SCI enclaves
+ Apply NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) methodologies to assess and mitigate system risks
+ Provide cybersecurity guidance to PACAF and USSF personnel
+ Implement and enforce cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices
+ Participate in meetings and working groups as directed by the PACAF ISSM and CIISO
+ Develop and review Security Impact Analyses (SIAs) for significant system changes
+ Process Change Requests (CRs) through the PACAF Configuration Management Board (CMB)
+ Maintain security documentation and artifacts to support ATO/ATC sustainment
+ Coordinate with SSOs to initiate protective or corrective actions in response to security incidents
+ Conduct continuous monitoring and draft Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) as needed
+ Deliver cybersecurity training and support to USSF and PACAF personnel
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Information Assurance, Cybersecurity, or related discipline with 8+ years of related experience. Additional experience, training, and/or certifications may substitute degree requirement.
+ US Citizen; Currently possess an active **Top Secret / SCI clearance**
+ Proven experience with **NIST RMF methodologies**
+ **IAM Level II certification** (e.g., CAP, GSLC, or equivalent)
+ Customer-focused with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

Job Description
The Digital Modernization Sector has a career opportunity for an Information Assurance Engineer supporting the Global Solutions Management - Operations II (GSM-O II) contract at DISA. This contract includes the Operations, Sustainment, Maintenance, Repair, and Defense of the Defense Information System Network (DISN) within the DOD Information Network (DODIN) in support of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). It also includes support to other key tasks for DISA, including the transformation of DISA's operational mission through innovation, and support to DISA's mission partners.
Candidate must be able to spend the majority of their time at the customer site at Fort Meade, MD, although light telework is allowed. Minimum Secret clearance and Security+ are required upon start.
Primary Responsibilities
+ Serve as the System Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for various customer systems as an IA Subject Matter Expert (SME) ensuring IA is built into systems deployed to operational environments.
+ Develops Project Management Plan to attain and maintain ATOs.
+ Perform ISSO responsibilities, including acting as a point of contact and subject matter expert for all cybersecurity related aspects to the assigned information systems, ensuring systems are maintained per security policies and procedures and maintaining compliance and ongoing reporting to management.
+ Collaborate with program information assurance staff, program management, and local engineers to ensure an appropriate security posture and Authorization to Operate (ATO) accreditation conditions and requirements are maintained.
+ Provide security engineering review of proposed changes or additions to the IS (including hardware, software, or connectivity), and advise the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) of the security relevance.
+ Candidate will conduct regular briefings with the customer on cybersecurity status, including preparing briefing materials.
+ Initiate the authorization or re-authorization efforts and process for new or expiring systems and coordinate, schedule, and attend required meetings.
+ Conduct ongoing security reviews and tests of systems to verify security features and controls are functional and effective. Take corrective action to resolve identified vulnerabilities and ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with established policies and procedures.
+ Assist with the implementation of security procedures, and verify information system security requirements, including coordinating the execution, review, and disposition of STIG checklists for systems, applications, developed code and other components.
+ Review ACAS and container scans for each system and work with infrastructure leads to bring findings into remediation.
+ Determine applicability of Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts to assets.
+ Performs and/or reviews technical security assessments of computing environments to identify points of vulnerability, non- compliance with established Information Assurance (IA) standards and regulations and recommend mitigation strategies.
+ Develop and maintain assessment and authorization documentation (Body of Evidence) for management and continuous monitoring of information systems, gather signatures, and submit to Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).
+ The individual must satisfy both preparatory and sustaining DoD standard training and certification requirements as a condition of privileged access to any DoD information systems.
Basic Qualifications
+ Requires a US Citizenship and Secret Clearance.
+ Bachelor's Degree with 4-8 years of relevant experience or master's with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of work experience in lieu of degree is acceptable.

As a core member, you will assist in the research & design, engineering, integration, testing, training, logistics, laboratory research, field engineering, and acquisition and operations analysis in support of a variety of Navy and Marine Corps programs and projects with a focus on defensive cyber technologies, mission assurance, and resilience capabilities for the tactical network environment. Your effort will go towards dramatically increasing the warfighter's effectiveness. **Responsibilities Include:**
+ Establishes and satisfies complex system-wide information security requirements based upon the analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands.

+ Applies expertise to government and commercial common user systems, as well as to dedicated special purpose systems requiring specialized security features and procedures.
+ Examples could include command and control-related networks.
+ Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.
+ Works under general supervision; reports to a supervisor or manager
**Required Qualifications** :
+ HS Diploma
+ 1+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.
+ A strong foundation in computer systems, networks, and security principles is essential.
+ Ability to deliver technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
+ Experience analyzing security risks and vulnerabilities.
**Desired Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree
+ Experience utilizing assessment tools (e.g., ACAS, SCAP, HBSS) and RMF process tools (e.g., MCCAST, eMASS, eArcher, VRAM and DITPR-DON/DADMS) preferred
+ CISSP, SEC+ certifications
+ Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) training with current baseline certifications such as: CompTia, Sec+, CISSP, or equivalent
**Clearance Requirements:**
+ Must have a current/active Secret Clearance
