Responsibilites:
  • Conduct security assessments of system security plans to help ensure that plans provide security controls for information systems that meet stated security requirements.
  • li>Conduct comprehensive assessments of the management, operational, and technical security controls employed within or inherited by an information system to determine the overall effectiveness of the controls.
  • Ensure compliance of security configurations for IT systems and aid in providing clear and concise processes and procedures for the implementation and enforcement of system security configurations.

  • Multi-task capability, handling multiple projects and serves as advisor for other application development staff to ensure ISSO standards are adhered. Serves as primary contact and technical advisor to clients and application developers to provide established ISSO standards during and post software development lifecycle and project management lifecycle.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of the US Government Information Assurance Security Processes.
  • Familiarity with the Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and Security Readiness Review (SRR) is desired.
  • Knowledge of Information Assurance policies and procedures, and processes are also desired.
  • Prefer to have hands on experience and at least one of the following professional certifications: Security+, CISSP, CISA, GSEC, or GSLC & OS Certificates.

Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with FISMA processes, NIST guidance, and experience writing security controls.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant/relatable experience is desired.

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer/Information Assurance Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join the Transportation Geospatial Information System (TGIS) contract. The Cyber SME will focus on completing the IA and Cybersecurity requirements necessary to harden system resources; evaluate and recommend remediations/mitigations of non-compliant STIGs and vulnerability scans; accomplish Fortify scans/reports and collaborate with developers for remediation/mitigations; complete security controls evaluations and RMF artifacts/documents; create, maintain, and remediate POA&Ms; facilitate on time ATO package submittal and resolve issues reported by the SCAR for ATO approval; research, implement, and respond to CTOs and other cyber orders; and brief leadership on cyber/IA statuses.

This position requires a minimum of 2 days a week on-site support at Scott AFB, an Active Secret clearance and IAWIP certification. Remote work is authorized on days when on-site support is not required.

Duties & Responsibilities

    The Information Assurance (IA) Specialist will work with team members and outside organizations to submit and maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) packages. This will entail, but not be limited to, creating and revising documents, reviewing and analyzing automated scan results, creating and maintaining Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), and ensuring the security of the information systems. The IA Specialist must have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience

Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a highly motivated Information Assurance Specialist to support the U.S. Space Force (USSF) at the Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) Special Security Office (SSO) , located at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. This role plays a pivotal part in strengthening the cybersecurity posture of Space Force operations across the Indo-Pacific region. You'll work alongside a dynamic team of Information Assurance and IT professionals, collaborating directly with the PACAF Chief ISR Information Security Officer (CIISO), the PACAF Information System Security Manager (ISSM), and subordinate SSOs to ensure secure, compliant operations of Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) systems and infrastructure.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to national defense priorities and support the strategic expansion of Space Force capabilities in the Pacific theater.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support cybersecurity operations for AFJWICS systems and SCI enclaves

  • Apply NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) methodologies to assess and mitigate system risks

  • Provide cybersecurity guidance to PACAF and USSF personnel

  • Implement and enforce cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices

  • Participate in meetings and working groups as directed by the PACAF ISSM and CIISO

  • Develop and review Security Impact Analyses (SIAs) for significant system changes

  • Process Change Requests (CRs) through the PACAF Configuration Management Board (CMB)

  • Maintain security documentation and artifacts to support ATO/ATC sustainment

  • Coordinate with SSOs to initiate protective or corrective actions in response to security incidents

  • Conduct continuous monitoring and draft Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) as needed

  • Deliver cybersecurity training and support to USSF and PACAF personnel

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Assurance, Cybersecurity, or related discipline with 8+ years of related experience. Additional experience, training, and/or certifications may substitute degree requirement.

  • US Citizen; Currently possess an active Top Secret / SCI clearance

  • Proven experience with NIST RMF methodologies

  • IAM Level II certification (e.g., CAP, GSLC, or equivalent)

  • Customer-focused with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Master's degree in Cybersecurity, IT Systems , or related field

ROLE RESPONSIBILTIES

Information Assurance Specialist I

ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Information Assurance Specialist I to join our team in MacDill Tampa. This is an onsite position. As a core member, you will assist in the research & design, engineering, integration, testing, training, logistics, laboratory research, field engineering, and acquisition and operations analysis in support of a variety of Navy and Marine Corps programs and projects with a focus on defensive cyber technologies, mission assurance, and resilience capabilities for the tactical network environment. Your effort will go towards dramatically increasing the warfighter's effectiveness. If you enjoy working on a highly collaborative and dynamic team and want to make a difference for the warfighter, then we would love to have you on our team! Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Identifies security risks, threats and vulnerabilities of networks, systems, applications and new technology initiatives
  • Develops, tests, and operates firewalls, intrusion detection systems, enterprise anti-virus systems and software deployment tools
  • Tests and debugs programs and scripts and prepares instruction for use during network exploitation activities
  • Applies knowledge of current IA policy, tactics, techniques, policy, and doctrine, and relationship to IA reporting requirements and structure
  • Assists in the planning and implementation of requirements
  • Evaluate potential security risks and make recommendations regarding corrections, mitigations, and recovery actions
  • Collaborate with internal and external security and IT staff to ensure the continued compliance and secure operation of authorized information systems
  • Assist with the generation of network/system diagrams to depict ports, protocols, and boundaries; update PPSM Registry as required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • 1+ years of experience in the field or in a related area
  • Knowledge of operating systems, networking principles, and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of common cyber threats and security trends
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Holds one of the following certifications: CISSP/CISM/CISA/GCIH/SEC+
  • Knowledge of DoDI 8510.01
  • Knowledge of applicable NIST 800 series publications
  • Knowledge of Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 503
  • Knowledge of Intelligence Community Information Technology Systems Security Risk Management

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have a current and active TS/SCI clearance
