We are seeking a Head of Information Technology who will play a crucial role in supporting the technological infrastructure and operations of Atom Computing.
Job Requirements- Implement and maintain a flexible IT infrastructure for scientists, engineers, and business teams.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and security systems. Work with outside contractors on specialty networks.
- Onboarding and offboarding of employees, including hardware selection, configuration, purchasing, access control, and inventory management of company-owned computing resources.
- Administration, management, and troubleshooting of Linux and Windows servers and employee laptops running Linux, Windows, and MacOS.
- Monitoring, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of internal and external wired and wireless networks and VPN infrastructure.
- Knowledge and implementation of general IT and cybersecurity best practices.
- Assist in the administration of Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud computing services.
- Maintain Atom Computings portfolio of SaaS tools and services.
- Ensure compliance with relevant IT regulations and standards.
- Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in IT support role, 5+ years in an IT leadership role preferred.
- Extensive experience with a wide array of operating systems, networking technologies, SaaS and cloud computing services (Okta, GSuite, 365, Asana, Slack, AWS/Azure, etc.).
- Reputation for responsiveness, reliability, creative problem-solving ability, and attention-to-detail.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a rapidly changing work environment.
- Excellent communication, listening, responsiveness and people skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Experience in using and troubleshooting Windows, Linux, MacBooks and Mac-related software and hardware.

The starting pay range for Minnesota is $77,500 to $88,500 per year. + Span multiple locations and BD businesses within key research and development facilities located in the following cities: Franklin Lakes, NJ (Headquarters); Research Triangle Park and Durham, NC; San Diego, CA; Louisville, CO; Irvine, CA; Brea, CA; Salt Lake City, UT; Vernon Hills, IL; Tempe, AZ; Warwick, RI; and Covington, GA.
**Example assignments include:**
+ Designing and developing product components for drug delivery systems, surgical devices, or advanced patient monitoring solutions.
+ Researching and implementing novel technologies that enable the invention of new medical devices or therapies.
+ Contributing to software development for new technologies that enable better and faster disease diagnosis.
+ Hunting for new opportunities, synthesizing ideas into innovation, and selecting innovations for the greatest impact.
**About you:**
+ Outstanding Ph.D. graduate (or anticipated defense within 1 year of application date) with technical depth in engineering, technology, or science fields; for example, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, materials science, chemistry, biochemistry, cell biology, computer science, data science, and related fields
+ Early-stage career (no more than 3 years of STEM industry or academic experience outside the pursuit of a degree)
+ Significant leadership experience demonstrated in areas of technical, academic, organizational, and personal focus
+ Proven academic and research distinction
+ Experience in or interest in the medical technology or healthcare industries
+ Willingness and ability to relocate to different geographic locations for at least two out of the three assignments
