The Infrastructure Analyst is responsible for maintaining a reliable, secure, and efficient server and storage infrastructure. This role includes overseeing the deployment, configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of IT infrastructure, encompassing servers, storage, and cloud services. A successful Infrastructure Analyst should be detail-oriented, an excellent problem solver, and able to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Server, Storage & Cloud Management

Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and software, ensuring optimal performance and uptime. Manage both VMWare and Hyper-V virtual environments.

Design, manage, and optimize storage systems, ensuring data integrity, availability, and efficient utilization.

Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), ensuring seamless integration with on-premise systems. Manage movement of identified systems for on-premise to cloud infrastructures.

This role is responsible for provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, troubleshooting, and maintaining systems' hardware/software and related infrastructure. This role will analyze and identify all or part of the existing or new computer (and/or server), peripheral, and network systems requirements, taking into consideration the special technology needs of the Sponsor.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the virtual environment and Cisco UCS blade infrastructure.
- Manage a windows domain environment.
- Implementation and support of Active Directory (AD) architecture to support role-based access and systems access controls.
- Implementation of security controls in a Microsoft Windows environment including Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
- Manage O365 (SharePoint, Exchange, OneDrive, Teams)

- Manage and maintain voice services including call routing, IVR flows, call queues, auto-attendants, and agent assignments in RingCentral and NICE.
- Monitor and troubleshooting call quality issues, user experience, and system availability.

CTG is seeking to fill an Infrastructure Analyst III opening for our client in Buffalo, NY.
Location: Buffalo, NY
Duration: 12 months
Overview:
The Infrastructure Analyst III will be responsible for completing activities related to complex installations, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software, along with related infrastructure. This role ensures adherence to organizational values, enabling staff and partners to effectively utilize technology.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Respond to and resolve help desk escalations based on previous incident outcomes.
- Create trending information of system issues to support efforts to address identified problems through analysis.
- Develop and document procedures for work order and request-based tasks.
- Resolve identified technical incidents requiring advanced problem-solving; analyze and isolate issues effectively.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools for troubleshooting technical issues.
- Execute systems maintenance activities following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), including patching, health checks, and operating system updates.
- Schedule maintenance changes to mitigate operational risk.
- Participate in project work as a member of cross-functional teams; lead the technical team within a project and contribute to design efforts.
- Provide coaching to less experienced staff on processes and technologies.
- Complete scheduled evening responsibilities.
- Document and initiate procedures for maintenance tasks and other needs for reference.
- Identify opportunities for automation or improvement of SOP and maintenance tasks to enhance efficiency.
- Understand and adhere to the company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls, identifying risk-related issues for escalation to management.
- Promote an inclusive environment that reflects the company brand.
- Maintain internal control standards, ensuring timely implementation of internal and external audit points and addressing issues raised by external regulators.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
Scope of Responsibilities:
The Infrastructure Analyst III will work closely with technical teams, project stakeholders, and customers to ensure optimal system performance and support organizational objectives.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:
This position may involve leading technical teams on projects and providing mentorship to less experienced staff.
Education and Experience Required:
- Minimum of 6 years of higher education and/or relevant work experience.
- Experience in reading and understanding technical information.
- Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to communicate technical information within a team and to management.
- Strong customer focus with the ability to manage multiple work priorities.
Education and Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of higher education and/or relevant work experience.
- Certifications or special training in related technologies.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
