The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos currently pursuing a new opportunity that has an opening for a Infrastructure Architect to work in Tampa, FL. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Enterprise Development, Application, and Training (EDAT) mission. In this mission we are focused on providing innovative, data-driven solutions and enterprise architecture enhancements to enable seamless operations across USSOCOM's global network. The program emphasizes rapid development and deployment of technologies to enhance the mobility and readiness of Special Operations Forces (SOF) in both combat and non-combat scenarios. Key tasks include program management, application development, training support, and technology integration to maintain USSOCOM's operational edge. The EDAT program underscores agility and adaptability, ensuring SOF professionals have access to the information and tools they need to meet evolving mission requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and cloud-agnostic infrastructure architectures that support mission objectives across AWS, Azure, and on-premise environments.

• Lead technical refresh and modernization initiatives by developing infrastructure roadmaps and solution strategies based on CENTCOM, USSOCOM, and other mission-driven environments.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams; guide junior architects in adopting secure DevSecOps processes in OCP, AKS, EKS, and ECS environments.

• Ensure system compatibility and seamless integration with other customer systems and infrastructure across multiple networks and agencies.

Basic Qualifications:

• BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field with 8-12 years of relevant experience in infrastructure architecture, engineering, or systems integration. 12 years of applicable experience will be accepted in lieu of degree.

• Must possess an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

• Demonstrated experience architecting and implementing infrastructure solutions in AWS and Azure using OCP, ECS, EKS, and AKS.

• Strong expertise in infrastructure security practices, including implementation of STIGs and compliance with RMF and NIST 800-53.

• Proficiency in containerization (Docker, Podman), Helm, Ansible, and setting up CI/CD pipelines in a DevSecOps environment.

• Experience in cross-domain solutions and interfacing with multiple government networks and stakeholders.

• Act as the subject matter expert for all areas of infrastructure (except networking).
• Design, install, and configure internal and customer-facing services based upon established best practices.
• Proactively manage and maintain the Azure and Active Directory environments.
• Participate in security-related discussions regarding the infrastructure environments.

Overview
We are seeking an Infrastructure Architect who will be responsible for researching, planning, and installing enterprise solutions that may include networking or software technologies and supporting life safety systems that directly impact the public.

**MUST CURRENTLY LIVE IN HAMPTON ROADS, VA (Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson, or Williamsburg). All applications outside of this area will be automatically rejected**

Responsibilities:

• Research, plan, and install enterprise solutions involving networking or software technologies.
  
• Support life safety systems impacting the public.
  
• Assess existing network, software, and current solutions; make recommendations based on product specifications and best cybersecurity practices.
  
• Configure equipment and software to meet business needs.
  
• Train others on the solution and document it for ongoing support.
  
• Provide technical support and assist with the design of infrastructure solutions.
  
• Respond to Tier 1 and 2 network and software support requests.
  
• Communicate effectively with teammates and customers of varying technical expertise.
  
• Respond to all break/fix requests associated with network resources.
  
• Design extensions of and connections to the campus network.

Qualifications:

• 6-10 years of hands-on networking experience.
  
• 4-year degree in computer science or another technology discipline, or industry certifications with 10+ years of experience. A 4-year degree in a technical discipline is strongly desired.
  
• Experience in the technical services and support field, as well as systems and network administration (DHCP, DNS, routers, firewall, etc.).
  
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve department service and support objectives for the Transportation Operations Center.
  
• Ability to manage medium complexity work efforts and provide limited leadership to others.
