Job Description:
The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for the end-to-end technical support of all network platforms. This position plays an integral role in leveraging monitoring platforms to increase network stability and to ensure a high level of network availability. This role will be expected to collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to provide the highest level of support for the business and the Amex Network Operation Center.
Job Responsibilities:

Provide hands on technical support, analysis, and issue resolution for network infrastructure and network services.

Optimize network performance via analyzing, tuning, and monitoring. Evaluate existing network performance to identify deficiencies and make performance recommendations.

Evaluate and develop new network monitoring capabilities.

Provide network support for complex issues related to applications, servers, databases, storage, and/or any other technical service.
Qualifications:

4 plus years of experience in supporting large scale corporate/datacenter networks.

Strong knowledge in routing protocols such as OSPF, and BGP.
-
Strong knowledge in switching technologies like spanning tree, port channels, and virtual port channels.
-
knowledge of Cisco NX-OS/IOS and Arista routing and switching platforms
-
Experience in a variety routing and switching platforms provided by vendors such as Cisco, Arista, and Aruba Networks.

Good understanding of protocols like TCP, UDP, and IP.

Good understanding of security infrastructure like Firewalls, IPSEC/SSL VPNs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable, and cost-optimized cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure.
- Drive automation initiatives using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Azure ARM templates) and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ansible) to reduce manual processes and improve system reliability.
- Collaborate with data, platforms, and security teams to support business objectives and align infrastructure with organizational needs.
- Implement and maintain monitoring and logging solutions (LogicMonitor, Datadog, Zabbix, SolarWinds) for proactive issue detection and resolution.
- Enhance cloud security posture by applying best practices for identity, access, network, and data protection.
- Standardize and document infrastructure deployments, operational procedures, and automation workflows.
- Participate in capacity planning, performance tuning, and cloud cost optimization.
- 3-5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure roles.
- Hands-on experience with both Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
- Experience with hyper-converged infrastructure technologies.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, and security principles.
- Proficiency with monitoring tools such as LogicMonitor, Datadog, Zabbix, or SolarWinds.
