Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a **Manager, Project Management 2 (Infrastructure Management)** to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals driving high quality program execution through their direct support and performance as a member of the Program Operations team. This role is located in **Melbourne, FL** .
**Due to the nature of the role, an on-site presence is required and cannot be performed remotely.** The position will follow our 9/80 schedule which allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
The successful candidate is expected to be a highly organized and results-driven Project Manager to oversee and coordinate construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of construction processes including design for ICD705 requirements, budgeting, and scheduling. This role is pivotal in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget-while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
**Key roles and responsibilities:**
+ Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
+ Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
+ Lead cross-functional team including security, engineering, and manufacturing teams
+ Facilitate communication and coordination among program participants
+ Collect and define program requirements to provide comprehensive requirements to the architecture firm
+ Create and maintain detailed project schedules using tools like MS Project

**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree and 8 years, or master's and 6 years' experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industries
+ 3 years of experience in a Program Management or Program Integration role including planning, executing, and overseeing projects
+ Experience overseeing and guiding projects from inception to completion
+ Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively, fostering collaboration and achieving organizational objectives
+ Comprehensive understanding of construction methods, materials, manufacturing and engineering test processes, and relevant government regulations

Primary Level Salary Range: $111,700.00 - $167,500.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. What you'll be doing
- Guide the architecture and low level design of distributed systems to ensure scalability, reliability, and efficiency
- Own and operate infrastructure services with the engineering teams, including on call responsibilities and deep debugging of complex issues
- Drive operational excellence through improved observability, resiliency, and automation
- Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar through design reviews, code reviews, and engineering best practices
- Advise leadership on platform direction, long term investment, and adoption of emerging infrastructure technologies
What we're looking for
- 7 or more years of experience building and operating large scale distributed systems in production
- Programming experience for backend service and infrastructure development
- Hands on experience with Kubernetes and cloud native systems in GCP, AWS, or Azure
- Expertise in distributed infrastructure including traffic management, load balancing, networking, and large scale data processing.
- Deep understanding of networking, observability, and debugging distributed systems end to end

- Deep expertise in distributed caching or storage systems used to support large scale, low latency workloads
- Expertise in protocols, routing, and service discovery in large scale environments
- Domain knowledge of online advertising and adtech systems is a plus
