In this role, you’ll help shape the future of food innovation. The Culinary Product Innovation Specialist blends culinary creativity with technical expertise, driving the development and commercialization of new products and line extensions for both retail and foodservice markets. Working closely with our culinary lead and cross-functional teams, you’ll bring food trends, customer insights, and company capabilities together to create products that delight and deliver.


What You’ll Do

·   Lead and support the end-to-end development of new food products and line extensions, from concept through commercialization.

·   Partner with Culinary, Product Development, Sales, Marketing, Operations, QA, Procurement and Regulatory to ensure feasibility, compliance, and quality.

·   Monitor market trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities with both year-round and seasonal appeal.

·   Develop product formulations, ensuring cost and scale-up objectives are met.

·   Support labeling requirements in partnership with Quality and Marketing teams.

·   Oversee sensory testing, pilot runs, and production start-ups.

·   Contribute to our innovation roadmap and continuous improvement initiatives.

·   Represent R&D in customer meetings, product presentations, and occasional industry events (<10% travel).

·   Balance multiple projects while collaborating across the organization.


What We’re Looking For

·   7-10 years of R&D experience in food, CPG, or foodservice manufacturing.

·   Bachelor's degree in Culinary, Food Science, Food Technology, or related field preferred.

·   Strong knowledge of food manufacturing processes, with hands-on product development and scale-up experience.

·   Familiarity with FDA/USDA labeling regulations and nutritional analysis software (e.g., Genesis).

·   Proven project management skills and ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously.

·   Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic Leadership for Academic AI:

**As Vice President, Technology Innovation & AI Strategy, you'll contribute to our success in the following ways:**
**Key Accountabilities:**
+ Ensures that all activities performed align with the vision of Elara Caring's board of directors, executive team, and the leadership of the Information Technology (IT) team.
+ Lead Innovation Agenda - Develop and execute the enterprise-wide innovation roadmap, with a focus on automation, AI, advanced analytics, and emerging technologies that deliver measurable business value.
+ Market & Trend Scanning - Continuously monitor healthcare technology trends, industry shifts, and competitive innovations to identify opportunities for differentiation and operational advantage.
+ Ideation & Co-Creation - Partner with clinical, operational, and corporate leaders to co-create new technology-enabled solutions that improve patient care, drive operational efficiency, and support payer risk-sharing models.
+ Proof-of-Concept & Pilot Delivery - Oversee rapid prototyping, testing, and evaluation of new solutions; manage transition from pilot to scalable enterprise deployment.
+ Business Case Development - Build ROI models and value propositions for innovation initiatives, securing executive sponsorship and funding.

+ AI & Data Enablement - Drive the ethical and compliant adoption of AI/ML models and data-driven tools, ensuring interoperability, data privacy, and clinical accuracy.
+ Talent Leadership - Build and lead a multidisciplinary innovation team; develop a culture of creativity, experimentation, and continuous learning.
+ Thought Leadership - Represent Elara Caring at industry events, conferences, and forums to position the organization as a leader in healthcare technology innovation.
+ Promotes Elara Caring's philosophy, mission statement and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.
+ Maintains patient and staff privacy and confidentiality pursuant to HIPAA Privacy Final Rule.

**What is Required?**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field is required.
+ Master's Degree is preferred.
+ 10+ years in technology leadership roles including 5+ years of leading innovation, R&D or digital transformation functions.
+ Proven track record of delivering technology-enabled business transformation in healthcare or similarly regulated industry.
+ Certifications such as CIL, Design Thinking Practitioner, CPHIMS, CHP, AI/Machine Learning (AWS, Azure or Google), CAP, PMP or PMI-ACP are preferred.
+ Ability and willingness to travel up to 30% to meet business needs.
+ Must have a dependable vehicle, a valid driver's license, and current auto insurance in accordance with the laws of the State
+ Sit, stand, bend, lift and move intermittently and be able to lift at least 25 lbs.

Responsibilities:

1. Customer Logistics Proposal & Solution Design

  • Act as the primary logistics solution architect for customer RFQs, RFPs, and new business opportunities, translating client requirements into customized warehouse and transportation solutions.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of customer supply chain needs, product types, volume flows, service level expectations, and operational constraints.
  • Develop and present optimal logistics models including WMS/TMS configuration, warehouse layout, labor planning, transportation routing, and system automation strategies.
  • Build cost models to estimate warehousing, transportation, and technology costs; collaborate with finance and pricing teams to ensure profitability and competitiveness.
  • Validate operational viability through simulations, SOP drafts, facility walk-throughs, and coordination with site managers and engineers.
  • Create detailed proposal decks, solution overviews, process flowcharts, and customer-specific performance metrics (KPI/SLAs) for presentation to internal leadership and external clients.
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, operations, IT, and executive teams to align on project scope, implementation timelines, and resource planning.
  • Participate in customer meetings and workshops to explain proposed solutions, collect feedback, and iterate designs to align with customer expectations and compliance standards.
  • Research industry trends and best practices to propose innovative logistics technologies (e.g., automation, AI-driven routing, real-time visibility platforms) that strengthen Samsung SDS’s value proposition.
  • Support smooth hand-off to implementation teams by documenting project scope, assumptions, risks, and system configuration requirements for execution.

2. System Management & Optimization:

  • Lead the end-to-end implementation, configuration, and rollout of WMS and TMS platforms across warehouse and transportation sites.
  • Manage system upgrades, enhancements, and patches in coordination with the IT team, ensuring stability, functionality, and data integrity.
  • Customize system parameters and rules to align with operational workflows and business goals.
  • Conduct pilot tests, root cause analysis, and regression testing prior to system-wide deployments.

3. Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze current operational processes (receiving, put-away, picking, shipping, inventory control) and identify bottlenecks or gaps.
  • Initiate and manage continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing costs, increasing throughput, and minimizing errors.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to define KPIs and ensure systems are tracking critical metrics in real time.

5. Training, Documentation & User Enablement

  • Participate in customer onboarding projects, tailoring WMS/TMS settings to meet client-specific logistics requirements.

Requirements
