Position Overview
International's Huntsville Powertrain Plant is seeking an Associate Quality Control Inspection Manager to join our growing team at this facility!
The International Huntsville Powertrain Plant is a benchmark facility that builds engines and transmissions to meet the needs of today's - and tomorrow's - customers. By using proven engineering and leading technology and manufacturing principles, International takes mobility and transport to a new level of impact. The powertrain manufacturing facility will continue growing with our market share gains, optimizing our supplier network and improving quality.
The QC Inspection Manager reports to the Plant Quality Manager and manages day to day department resources and coordinates the management of quality deviations, quality system, quality related performance elements, and collaborates with other TRATON sites on all quality related elements.
Responsibilities
+ Manage/Ensure Quality resource deployment and requirements.
+ Drive problem solving activities across all lines and products.
+ Develop, manage and communicate relevant information and reports to management.
+ Drive customer feedback and CAR response.
+ Engage with TRATON facilities on assembly and machining subjects.
Minimum Requirements
+ Bachelor's degree
+ At least 6 years of quality inspection experience
+ At least 1 year of lead experience
OR
+ Master's degree
+ At least 4 years of quality inspection experience
+ At least 1 year of lead experience
OR
+ At least 8 years of quality inspection experience
+ At least 1 year of lead experience
Additional Requirements
+ Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

LIVIC Civil is looking to fill a full-time position for a Construction Inspection Manager.

Essential job functions include:
  • Review and interpret plans, site layouts, specifications and construction methods to ensure compliance to legal requirements and safety regulations
  • Coordinate and supervise project inspection activities to ensure contractor compliance of plans, contract documents, specifications and standards
  • Oversee, schedule and maintain subordinate inspection staff throughout all project phases
  • Measure dimensions and verify level, alignment, and elevation of structures, fixtures, grades and/or pavement to ensure compliance to plans and codes
  • Makes field notes and computations
  • Work on behalf of the Client to draft project correspondence, facilitate project meetings, and resolve construction related field issues
  • Witness routine sampling and tests on concrete, soils and other materials
  • Gathers and maintains project records (using PennDOT ECMS and other systems)
  • Interact with the general public, government agencies, contractors, sub-contractors, and other internal and external parties to respond to inquiries
PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to act in an Owner's Agent/Responsible in Charge Role
  • Strong Computer proficiency
  • Candidates must have a minimum of four years of PennDOT, Pennsylvania Turnpike, or related transportation construction experience.
  • GED or high school diploma required.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration.
  • Possess a personal vehicle for use on or around a job site.
  • Able to stand for approximately 3 hours minimum a day up to 8 hours.
  • Able to traverse a construction job site consisting of uneven ground varying in height and consistency of material, with a variation of elevation 19" or less (mud, gravel, rutted ground, etc.).
  • Availability to work various shifts, including night shift. Overtime is often required.
  • Ability to sometimes work in adverse weather conditions. Must be physically able to perform moderately strenuous tasks which includes walking along rough terrain, climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 pounds.

**Responsibilities:**
+ Manage site quality operations in a safe and effective manner supporting mission objectives and contract metrics are met.
+ Interfaces with the Company's Quality Management Team, Field Manager, Aircraft Maintenance Manager, and Government CBP Management and Flight personnel.
+ Supports Safety of Flight by ensuring properly trained and qualified Quality Assurance Representatives/Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representatives are available to support all operations of the site/detachment.
+ Organizes and schedules surveillances and self-assessments as necessary to provide feedback to program leadership.
+ Supports and conducts audits as required to ensure the site is ready for AS9100D certification.
+ Provides input to leadership in supporting Root Cause/Corrective Actions for Non-Conformances.
+ Schedules and conducts validation on Corrective Actions to ensure they are effective.
+ Recommends and manages Continuous Improvement projects at the site and coordinates approvals when required.
+ Enforces work standards and reviews/resolves work discrepancies to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
+ Point of contact for Quality with the Government Project Officer (PO)/ Contract Officer Representative (COR) at their site.
+ Support the SMS through the Aviation Safety Official by reporting required data.
+ Investigate mishaps and report findings to leadership.
+ Participates in Program Management Reviews (PMRs) between the contractor and the CBP Customer.
+ Conducts and validates business practices to ensure both government and contractor requirements are met.
**Qualifications You Must Have:**
+ B.A. (or equivalent degree) - a higher level degree may substitute for relevant experience
+ Typically, 6+ years of progressive aviation experience, which includes 0-2+ years of management experience.
+ Ability to understand technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications
+ Proficiency with applicable inspection tools
+ Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification and Inspection Authorization (IA) certification
+ Current Active Secret Clearance is required
