Job Description
The Area Installation Specialist (AIS) is responsible for assisting with the customer experience throughout the install job life cycle. This includes performing technical measures, assessing pre-existing conditions, and performing product affirmations The AIS will conduct Job Site Inspections (JSIs) to review quality of work, conduct service provider badging checks, and meet with customers to ensure the install experience is consistent with THD standards. Responsibilities will further include resolving customer complaints, making decisions needed to prevent cycle-time delays, working with service providers to resolve issues, and approving or escalating project changes prior to moving forward. At the end of the install process the AIS will ensure all open items are completed to the customer's satisfaction.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ 25% Customer Experience - Initiates and maintains regular communication with customers across the install life-cycle, ensures timely customer follow-up, and resolves open questions or job changes; Resolves job-in-process items such as scope of work changes, add-labor items, and material needs, and escalates decisions as appropriate; Manages open services and assigned Care Tickets to resolution
+ 60% Job Process Management - The AIS manages all jobs from assigned area and product category; This will involve assessing pre-existing conditions, performing product affirmations, and performing technical measures; After the installation begins, the AIS is responsible for performing Job Site Inspections (JSIs) which includes conducting service provider badge checks, inspecting the work to ensure industry construction standards are adhered to, addressing customer questions, ensuring job scope changes are documented, and ensuring the overall install experience is meeting or exceeding the customer's expectations; Manages timely closure of all open services within assigned area

**Travel Requirements:**

Primary Function
Responsible for providing field service and support including troubleshooting, repair, installation, maintenance, and training on various types of industrial automation equipment. Service & support activities will be performed both on-site at a customer’s facility or in-house at a company owned location.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support, solve problems, testing, training, installs and maintenance.
- Deliver a consistent, positive, and exceptional customer service experience.
- Work environment may be individually focused or working with a team.
- Industrial troubleshooting in electrical, mechanical, PLC, HMI, robot programming, networks, and Fieldbus.
- Take initiative to meet challenging project timelines and budgets.
- Ability to travel as required (install, start-up, or field support) to successfully complete projects.
- Ability to support all aspects of equipment install (Rigging, alignment, wiring, startup, etc.)
- Complete all work related documentation on time.
- Identify potential future opportunities with the customer while onsite.
- Assist in any other activities that help to support ongoing strategies.
Background Experience
- Machine Programming (PLC/HMI) experience preferred.
- Safety System, Network, and Fieldbus Programming and Trouble Shooting experience preferred.
- Experience in robotic processes preferred.
- Hydraulic/Pneumatic/Lubrication system troubleshooting experience preferred.
- Experience with in-field installation and start-up of intermediate to advanced level manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of system preventative maintenance on intermediate to advanced level manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical prints.
- Robot Programming experience – Fanuc and ABB preferred.
- Basic knowledge of one of the following robotic processes: GMAW or Plasma cutting.
- Successfully complete start up and debug on basic to intermediate level system.
- Intermediate electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Record of positive customer feedback.
Education, Training, and Experience
- Minimum requirement: High school diploma or GED (technical or vocational school preferred).
- Preferred: Associates degree focused in electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, or robotics.
- 4 or more years electrical troubleshooting experience preferred.
- Minimum five years of field service experience.

While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Repetition with activity; computer work. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
The work environment is inside manufacturing facilities. Proper person protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times while in manufacturing facilities. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Summary
Lincoln Electric is seeking a US-based Service Technician to join our PythonX Services team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, exceptional troubleshooting abilities, and hands-on industrial experience. This role requires strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to deliver high-quality service, maintain strong customer relationships, and ensure maximum equipment uptime.

What You Will Do:
- Install aftermarket parts and products; perform testing to verify operational standards.
- Educate customers on maintaining/following a preventative maintenance schedule.
- Perform scheduled and on-demand maintenance per service work orders.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues; implement repair solutions.
- Prepare quotes and sales orders for spare parts and consumables.
- Complete detailed service reports and documentation of all work performed.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding findings, service performed, and proactive recommendations to improve up-time.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
- Travel domestically and internationally for training, installation, and service assignments.
- Assist in other service-related duties as needed.
Required Education & Experience
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a Service Technician or similar role.
- Strong mechanical skills, including conveyor repairs, leveling, and replacement of wear items (bearings, chains, sprockets, etc.).
- Strong electrical skills, including troubleshooting low-voltage systems, electrical panels, and 480V power.
- Proficiency with pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Familiarity with ABB and Fanuc robotic systems.
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools, multi-meters, and diagnostic equipment.
- Flexible availability to adapt to changing schedules.
- Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel 75% of the year throughout North America (U.S., Canada, Mexico); 90% of travel in the U.S.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.

Job Description
This role will give you the opportunity to be involved in Operations Department and grow with the business. Field Service Technicians will repair, maintain, and facilitate installation and service loading dock equipment, industrial doors, and specialty lifts operations at customer facilities. Field Service Technicians act as a technical resource for our company and customer. This position works independently or in small teams in a field services environment and requires driving to customer sites in a company truck and maintaining an organized work environment.
Technician Job Responsibilities:
- Ensures equipment perform to specifications by conducting tests; modify and adjust the equipment for proper operation.
- Maintains equipment per specification.
- Disassemble or dismantle equipment.
- Be punctual.
- Answer requests and concerns about product and service.
- Plans and facilitates installation and repair of new or refurbished machinery.
- Conducts safety inspections of equipment.
- Red Tag equipment that is deemed unsafe.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work with mechanical and electrical components.
- Basic understanding of how and why electrical, mechanical, hydraulic systems work independently or with each other.
- Basic understanding as to why a part failed, and how to replace it or repair it.
- Thorough and broad understanding of a variety of equipment and equipment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
- Strong analytical and trouble-shooting skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing, stretching, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling required.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
- Visual acuity to properly inspect and modify large and detailed portions of equipment.
- Manual dexterity to assemble, disassemble, adjust, service and perform planned maintenance on equipment and drive a vehicle.
