Insight Global is looking to hire a Technician in a 6-month Contract-to-Hire role for a client of ours in Ames, IA. This candidate will be working with internet. The hiring manager is looking for someone who can be trusted to get work done in a timely and professional manner. Candidates will be expected to follow direction from the Project Manager, and also a PM Tool called Base Camp that lays out project details and to-dos.
$18/hr to $25/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Job Description
Insight Global's client in Knoxville, TN is looking to hire an Install Technician to help manage their growing business. The Install Technician will be responsible for installing and activating CCTV, alarm, fire, and access control technologies across the Knoxville and surrounding region for commercial clients. This person will need prior experience running wires and mounting devices. They will likely be dedicated to one project per day, as most install projects last between 2-5 days.
The Install Technician will be supplied with a company van (with gas card), basic power tools, and a ladder to be able to support these projects. **Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated Install Technician to perform a variety of general production duties. You will be responsible for laying out, measuring, and cutting tarps, using power tools to install tarps onto semi-trailers, and sewing on the end seams of the tarps. This role requires the efficient use of a variety of hand tools, power tools, and impact drills. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to float and work in the shipping department, gaining knowledge of the full process. Tarp installations can vary in duration from two hours to two days.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide Boon Edam product service and support via telephone communication and site visits within the branch area.
• Work with different general contractors, subcontractors, and end-users to install Boon Edam product in a professional, safe, and efficient manner.
• Work remotely with the Technical Service Manager, Installation Manager and Customer Support team at the Boon Edam facility in Lillington, NC.
• Provide training to less experienced installation and service technicians.
• Record and track installation and support materials for project record keeping.

• Electrical skills, low voltage electronics and high voltage electrical theory
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
• Electrical circuit trouble shooting abilities
• Strong mechanical installation skills (layout, assembly, tie in, etc.)
• Excellent capability in reading and understanding mechanical and construction drawings
• Experienced with use of hand tools such as cordless drill, hammer, levels, etc.

What You’ll Do:

As a Residential Plumbing Install Technician, you will work as a Plumbing Journeyman while installing and repairing plumbing fixtures and pipes, and re-piping of water, air, and gas systems. You will be cutting, welding, and assembling pipes, tubes, fittings and fixtures.  Your areas of work will be in residential and light commercial applications. You will complete installations that are functional and meet or exceed current plumbing codes. You will always inspect and test to ensure that new systems work efficiently to fulfill Bell’s customers’ satisfaction, safety, and comfort.

Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience
• Technologically proficient 
• Clean driving record and background
• Ability to pass drug screening
• Ability to give and take direction
• Great communicator with commitment and passion for learning 
• Honesty, integrity, and reliability
