Required Education & Experience
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a Service Technician or similar role.
- Strong mechanical skills, including conveyor repairs, leveling, and replacement of wear items (bearings, chains, sprockets, etc.).
- Strong electrical skills, including troubleshooting low-voltage systems, electrical panels, and 480V power.
- Proficiency with pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Familiarity with ABB and Fanuc robotic systems.
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools, multi-meters, and diagnostic equipment.
- Flexible availability to adapt to changing schedules.
- Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel 75% of the year throughout North America (U.S., Canada, Mexico); 90% of travel in the U.S.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.

Summary
CHS Northwest in Poulsbo, WA is looking for a Field Service Technician to join our team! This individual would be responsible for equipment installation and repair of propane tanks as well as delivering propane to our customers in the Poulsbo area. This position is M-F and you must have the ability to work additional hours and be on-call as needed during our heating season. The ideal candidate would have a Class A or B CDL wtih their hazmat endorsment or willing to obtain, be able to work independently, and be a team player. Responsibilities
- Increase propane sales through door-to-door sales, marketing programs, customer referrals, and telemarketing.
- Grow and maintain current market share through prompt delivery of all products and regular communication with current customer base.
- Make proper recommendations of propane and services to customers and promote CHS products and services.
- Perform propane and equipment installation, repair and delivery work as required by local, state, and federal regulations.Invoice all products and services accurately as they are delivered or sold.
- Assist supervisor in developing marketing programs to attract new business and retain current customers.
- Promptly handle all customer complaints with follow-up ensuring complaint resolution.
- Ensure all daily paperwork is accurate and complete.
- Assist supervisor in increasing departmental efficiency and reducing operational costs.
- Adhere to CHS pricing, credit, inventory and safety policies.
- Promote and enhance CHS’s image by supporting and advocating compliance with sales programs, management policies, and operating procedures.
- Support a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
- Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- Class A or B CDL with hazmat endorsment (or willing to obtain)
- General mechanical knowledge.
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English and understand highway traffic signs and signals
Additional Qualifications
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience with power tools and other tools needed to complete work related to LP service work
- CETP certifications or ability to obtain
- Ability to work additional hours and be on-call as needed
