The Role
As a Network Installation and Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunication systems in central office environments and remote sites. You will ensure the smooth operation of communication networks through effective management of equipment and customer support. Your focus will be on provisioning and maintaining advanced telecommunication systems, including DSL, POTS, GPON, and multiplexers.
Location and Schedule
This is a full-time position based in Lebanon, OR. Work hours are Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, with potential for weekend and overtime shifts.
Main Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, analyze, and repair complex telecommunication equipment, including switching systems and circuit devices using electrical measuring tools.
- Plan jobs, determine materials needed, and maintain accurate work logs while keeping team members informed on project statuses.
- Travel to various central office locations to perform necessary duties.
- Review and interpret work orders, wiring diagrams, and equipment drawings, following standard practices for all tasks.
