Position Summary
Instructional Coordinators (ICs) bring professional-level industry experience in the specific content areas of the MBA programs. This experience adds value and reinforces academic content to the students enrolled in the College's online graduate programs.
The College of Business online MBA programs follow a lecture-capture, distributed learning model. Under this framework, the role of the Instructional Coordinator is to work closely with lead faculty instructors to facilitate, extend, amplify, and mediate course instruction with online students. By reinforcing and clarifying content, Instructional Coordinators ensure that each student keeps pace with the course as it progresses. ICs collaborate with the lead faculty before the course begins by discussing course content, learning objectives, student participation, assignments, and grading metrics. This collaboration and communication between the faculty and the ICs is ongoing from 2-3 weeks before courses begin until the debrief session after the course ends.
Instructional Coordinator's allow the College of Business to extend the classroom experience to a large online audience. Serving along with lead faculty, Instructional Coordinators clarify and reinforce course content and extend theory to practice. ICs oversee approximately 35-70 online students as needed based on class size and grading intensity/technology. They are the primary point of communication, grade assignments, hold virtual "office" hours, and recommend grades to the lead faculty. For our online students, this is a significant role, as it connects them to the program during a time when they might otherwise feel disconnected. ICs provide a valuable high-touch level of customer service to the student while allowing the lead faculty to focus on developing and delivering quality content to students.
Instructional Coordinators provide a high level of student outreach and have the availability to frequently connect with students, academic advisors and team leads. They must be engaging, offering an increased and innovative presence in the online classroom to best serve the student and facilitate student success. Instructional Coordinators are expected to provide substantial and specific student feedback and offer a quick turnaround on grades. Instructional Coordinators reflect department and institutional values, and they are expected to foster the college's commitment to CSU's mission.

Required Job Qualifications
+ MBA , MSBA degree or equivalent from a school of business accredited by the AACSB-(The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International)
+ OR earned Master's, JD degree,

+ Five years of full-time professional experience with a demonstrated progression in responsibility and authority, or equivalent teaching experience in required topic area.
+ Excellent written communication skills

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

The **Curricular Design / Instructional Tech Coordinator** assists the Senior Director of Instructional and Curricular Design to support the faculty and staff at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine (HMSOM) in designing and revising curriculum across all four years and expanding academic support using current and emerging technologies. This role involves assessing learning needs, developing educational sessions, collaborating with faculty on learning objectives and teaching methodologies, ensuring alignment between assessments and objectives, and creating faculty resources such as training materials, online resources, and videos. This role also provides technical support to faculty and students on curricular systems and software, maintains online informational resources, and contributes to curricular technology committees, including those focused on AI.

**Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:**
+ Masters degree in Education, Technology or other relevant area of study, with a speciality in Instructional Design.
+ Minimum of 1 or more years of experience in instructional design.

+ Critical thinker and problem-solver, particularly for educational issues.
+ Ability to recommend and develop all types of learning solutions, including online, synchronous, asynchronous, small, and large group classroom teaching.

Position Summary:

Learning Specialist Position - Nancy and Donald Resnick Academic Support Center for Student-Athletes

The Nancy & Donald Resnick Academic Center for Student-Athletes (RAC) provides comprehensive academic advising and support services for Temple's 500 student-athletes. The Learning Specialist position is responsible for working directly with a caseload of student-athletes to facilitate the enhancement of their skills needed to be successful at the university level. The position follows a 10-month schedule, with the months of June and July designated as non-working months.

The Learning Specialist will assist in identifying student learning difficulties, coordinating referrals leading to appropriate testing and diagnosis, and will act as liaison to the Office of Disability Resources and Services (DRS). In addition, the Learning Specialist also works with other members of the Resnick Academic Support Center to provide and coordinate a full range of support in addressing student athletes' academic and study skill needs. The learning specialist works one on one with student-athletes to develop strategies to promote academic success. The successful candidate will be skilled at creating rapport and building productive relationships with student-athletes, while assisting colleagues in the development of a student-centered, service-oriented program of support. The learning specialist oversee the tutorial support program, which includes recruiting, hiring, training, and scheduling tutoring appointments each semester. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in education, school psychology or related field and at least three years of directly related experience. At least one year of experience providing supplemental support for students with disabilities. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred Education and Experience:

* Master's degree in a related field.

* Experience working directly with student-athletes in the college setting.

* Familiarity with the technology available to enhance learning.

* Experience delivering various learning assessments (LASSI, Nelson-Denny, etc.).

Essential Functions of Position

*Assists student-athletes with learning disabilities by implementing specific study skill strategies and techniques to facilitate the development of long-term academic skills. Utilize scientifically proven interventions to improve efficacy in writing, reading, and executive functioning.

*Assists with the process of registering for accommodations with the Office of Disability Resources and Services and helps the student-athletes understand how to best utilize them. Promote the use of assistive technology as a supplemental learning tool.

*Support students in developing self-advocacy skills.

*Develops an appropriate strategic plan to enhance and facilitate learning and independent study for assigned collegiate student-athletes.

*Support students in developing self-advocacy skills.

*Demonstrates proficiency with engaging small groups and individuals in the implementation of instructional plans.

*Monitors the effectiveness of student-athletes instructional plans

*Facilitates a comprehensive assessment plan to create individual learning profiles for all Temple student-athletes.

*Collaborates with staff to determine the appropriate level of support.

*When necessary, serve as a referral to local practitioners for additional screening.

*Fill tutor requests and manage tutor appointment schedules

*Conduct tutor trainings, prepare training materials and workshop training for tutors

*Track quantitative data to assess the progress of the tutorial program

*Recruitment; identify needs of tutorial support program, including hiring, and new tutor on-boarding

*Supervise tutors, conduct performance evaluations, provide progress feedback

Required Skills and Abilities:

*Collaborates with staff to determine the appropriate level of support.

*Demonstrated experience working with students with diverse academic needs.

*When necessary, serve as a referral to local practitioners for additional screening.

*Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

* Previous experience working with student-athletes in a Division I academic support setting.

  • Monitor and review relevant external websites, listservs, and communications to identify relevant updates, changes and/or new information, programs, resources, opportunities, etc.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Master's Degree in higher education, education, or psychology or the equivalent combination of education and work experience. ( Please review the Equivalency Chart for additional information.)
  • Minimum of Two years' experience working with adult students or in higher education.
