As an Instrument Reliability Team member, you will be a core team member of our Asset Management organization focusing on ensuring our equipment is available to support safe, clean, and reliable operation of our facility.
What You Will Do
- Provide technical solutions that meet functional expectations for key stakeholders while maintaining an awareness of instrument standards and supporting the change management process when non-standard designs are required
- Utilize critical and economic thinking to justify and initiate projects to upgrade/replace equipment that is not currently meeting functional expectations or is approaching obsolescence
- Develop instrument-related scopes that are based on technically sound and economically viable repair/replacement decisions
- Utilize technical experience and expertise to lead the development of reliability strategies for our instrument population
- Experience with RCFA (Root Cause Failure Analysis) methodologies and application to problem-solving on a micro and macro level
- Technical mentor for others within the Instrumentation Reliability team
- Excel in a multi-functional team and be able to prioritize multiple business requests
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology OR at least five (5) years of hand-on experience with instrumentation
- Experience analyzing instrumentation data to identify trends, detect issues, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement
What Will Put You Ahead:
- Instrumentation experience in refining or petrochemical environment
For this role, we anticipate paying $95,000 - $150,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.

- Install instrumentation sensors onto UUTs and wire electrical circuits to data acquisition system(s), supporting the cylinder pressure measurement equipment when necessary

He or She will also support a reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) program for the laser system in terms of inventory control, critical spares lists, and maintenance routines. Required:
A successful candidate would possess a BS or higher degree in Aerospace or Mechanical engineering, Physics, or related engineering or science related field. Basic data analysis skills with experience in software such as Matlab, Origin, Igor, or Python is required. The candidate will interface with other Engineers and Technicians on a regular basis so good communication skills are highly valuable. Candidate must be a US citizen or Permanent Resident
Desired:
A background in high power laser operations or plasma physics is desired, as well as experience designing, building, implementing, and operating lasers in a high-enthalpy test facility. Technical writing and reporting will be required so experience writing scientific papers for conferences or journals would also be beneficial.

As an Instrument Reliability Team member, you will be a core team member of our Asset Management organization focusing on ensuring our equipment is available to support safe, clean, and reliable operation of our facility.
What You Will Do
- Provide technical solutions that meet functional expectations for key stakeholders while maintaining an awareness of instrument standards and supporting the change management process when non-standard designs are required
- Utilize critical and economic thinking to justify and initiate projects to upgrade/replace equipment that is not currently meeting functional expectations or is approaching obsolescence
- Develop instrument-related scopes that are based on technically sound and economically viable repair/replacement decisions
- Utilize technical experience and expertise to lead the development of reliability strategies for our instrument population
- Experience with RCFA (Root Cause Failure Analysis) methodologies and application to problem-solving on a micro and macro level
- Technical mentor for others within the Instrumentation Reliability team
- Excel in a multi-functional team and be able to prioritize multiple business requests
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology OR at least five (5) years of hand-on experience with instrumentation
- Experience analyzing instrumentation data to identify trends, detect issues, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement

For this role, we anticipate paying $95,000 - $150,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.

The Associate Instrumentation Engineer is responsible for generating instrumentation project deliverables and working with the project instrumentation designers for new or updated process instrumentation. Other duties include performing project site surveys of existing instrumentation to be replaced or re-designed, performing client documentation searches, marking up drawings or data sheets for as-found instrumentation and wiring details.
