Overview

Value Chain Planning owns a critical part of the supply chain, ensuring clarity between operations, sales and finance on status of products, expected shipment and arrival dates, and insights to anything driving changes to plan. This role is accountable for working across functions and integrating the work of different supply chain disciplines to ensure optimal supply to meet customer's demand and to deliver the business' annual operating plan.

This leader will work with region sales, product management, and demand planning teams to understand demand requirements and align with procurement, manufacturing and distribution to ensure product and resources are in place to meet those requirements. Collaboration with other value chain leaders to communicate, root cause, and recommend solutions to constraints across the supply chain is critical.

Responsibilities

* Coordinate on demand visibility for new product introductions and discontinuations to optimize revenue and minimize Excess & Obsolete.
* Work with Strategy & Operational Excellence team to implement supply transparency tools and processes.
* Leverage the Supply Review step of IBP to communicate potential interruptions and solutions.
* Provide leadership and development to the global supply planning team.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering; Masters preferred.
* 10+ years of hands-on combined experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Production Planning or other Supply Chain disciplines.
* Previous experience leading the implementation or execution of IBP process, S&OP or related business planning process.
* Strong understanding of ERP/MRP fundamentals.
* Travel up to 20% of the time.
* Preferred location: At a Global Operations site in the US or Europe.

Performs general accounting activities for debt, investments, derivatives, and preferred stock financial instruments, as well as financial reporting requirements. Reconciles any differences between the sub-ledger systems to the general ledger system. Prepares and delivers financial instrument information for internal and external audits and SOX testing.

Essential Functions

1. Establishes proper accounting and reporting procedures, resolves discrepancies, and manages the preparation of complex analysis and reports for the Market Risk Committee, Asset Liability Committee, and the Board of Directors.

2. Implements appropriate procedures to ensure financial instrument accounting compliance with GAAP. Maintains independence of the controller division in applying accounting theory and GAAP.

3. Reviews investment and debt journal entries produced to the general ledger from the financial instrument accounting system on a daily basis. Reconciles accounting records with transaction activities. Identify any discrepancy and/or mistreatment in the sub-ledger system. Recognizes and accounts for interest accruals, coupon payments, amortization, and bond redemptions in fixed income portfolios. Manages the accounting for debt issuance, interest expense, principal repayments, and debt covenants. Handles the complexities of derivative accounting, including initial recognition, subsequent measurement, and hedge accounting.

4. Performs month-end general accounting including any or all of the following: Obtains market values for all investment portfolio positions from a third-party service provider. Reconciles month-end investments for the financial instrument accounting system and third-party investment custodians. Prepares system-to-system reconciliation between financial instrument accounting systems and general ledger.

5. Participates in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ The Sales Specialist will achieve annual product sales goals set for the territory while working in coordination with the local assigned team within their territory. In addition, the associate will maintain accurate and timely opportunity funnel and customer data in SFDC with coaching as needed.
+ The associate will achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through delivery of sales and support assistance and coordinate product demo, installs, and customer training with support from manager and/or mentor.
+ Work with prospective and current customers to increase Leica Biosystems' influence and presence across territories.
+ Monitor and develop awareness of competitive activities and strategies, utilize Strategic Selling tools (Blue sheets) with mentorship and guidance.
+ Develop on products, DBS, LBS Tools (such as DOMO, Showpad, Territory Business Reviews).
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science OR equivalent work experience
+ Minimum 3+ years relevant sales (or equivalent experience).
+ Proven time management skills. Proven contract negotiation and high-level selling experience or selling in a matrixed environment.
+ Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM software; Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
+ Travel: 50-75%
+ Must Possess a valid Driver's license; and ability to travel overnight for territory coverage (if applicable) and/or for company meetings

The salary range for this role is $95,000 - $125,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

Intuitive Surgical seeks a Director of Instrument Development to lead a dynamic team in developing and commercializing cutting-edge robotic instruments for minimally invasive surgeries. This role involves managing Development Managers, Engineers, and technical staff, focusing on advanced development projects slated for product integration within two to three years. The Director will oversee the design, documentation, validation, and enhancement of new and existing instrument designs, ensuring they meet customer needs. The successful candidate will coordinate team efforts across multiple projects, manage personnel efficiently, and ensure project milestones are met despite time constraints and evolving information typical of new product development.

Essential Duties:

* Set long-term strategic vision aligning team goals with business objectives.
* Lead and manage engineering team, focusing on culture, hiring, and retention.
* Define performance expectations and ensure effective communication across all team levels.
* Oversee project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation for operational excellence.
* Champion design innovation and protect intellectual property innovations.
* Engage stakeholders to ensure roadmap acceptance and support for long-term goals.
* Anticipate roadblocks and remove silos for seamless execution of objectives.

Qualifications

* Required Skills and Experience:


* Minimum 10-12 years experience designing commercial medical devices or products
* Minimum 5-8 years experience managing product development projects and leading teams
* Hands-on engineering leader with the proven ability to work well in a team environment
* Demonstrated expertise in all phases of the product development lifecycle
* Organizational skills and ability to work on several fast-paced projects simultaneously
* Ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of people and departments
* Strong communication and documentation skills
* Proven ability to motivate, guide, and inspire members of core and extended project teams
* Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals
* Experience in analyzing tradeoffs between product features, customer needs/requirements, producibility, and cost
* Planning, decision-making and negotiation
* Experience navigating medical device risk analysis

Required Education:

* Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent engineering degree
* Master of Science (MS) or PhD preferred

Working Conditions:

* Class II medical product experience
* Experience with FDA regulations and medical device design control
