**About the Role: **
As an Insurance Analyst, you will perform various tasks within the insurance team. Manage insurance compliance reviews for Agency, institutional, private client and high-profile borrowers as required. Manage flood determination process, force placed insurance and insurance claims as required.

**What You'll Need:**

Job Description
The Supervisor, Insurance Analyst provides leadership, support, and supervision for the Insurance Analyst team . This individual is a subject matter expert on commercial pharmacy, major medical, and government insurance plans, prior authorizations, appeals, and alternate coverage referrals. The supervisor ensures that all day to day activities of the team operate smoothly and seamlessly to provide the best customer experience for physician offices and ultimately patients. This position is responsible for ensuring all performance metrics, workload deliverables and customer services activities are completed in alignment with a high touch business model.
Responsibilities
+ Supervise and oversee insurance analysts responsible for verifying new patient insurance benefits and handling claim rejections. Work proactively with staff and cross-functional groups to develop creative solutions to challenging patient access issues regarding prior authorization, and denied coverage requests to ensure patient care.
+ Partner with Leads to monitor work flow and adjust workload and staffing requirements to ensure that all activities are addressed in a timely and efficient manner.
+ Monitor calls and perform case reviews to ensure accuracy of information, adherence to policies, and excellent customer service. Provide additional coaching and training to individuals as needed. Meet regularly with direct reports to provide direct feedback on their performance and progress against goals. Responsible for writing and communicating performance reviews.
+ Perform administrative tasks such as work hour scheduling, attendance monitoring and counseling, vacation request scheduling, and overtime scheduling. Participate in the hiring process and handle all employee issues for their direct reports.
+ Use effective coaching and management techniques to maintain a highly motivated and interactive work staff.
+ Meet or exceed department standards relative to performance metrics. Take responsibility

Qualifications

+ 1-2 years supervisory experience in a call center, large physician, managed care, or healthcare insurance setting desired
+ Demonstrated strong, accurate technical skills. Must be detail oriented. Must have a thorough understanding and knowledge of commercial and government pharmacy and medical insurance programs, billing, alternate funding resources, reimbursement processes, prior authorization and appeal filings, and specialty pharmacy operations.

Assisting with follow-up requests from payors and evaluating unresolved workers comp claims to facilitate resolution. Billing/Insurance Analysts at Claimpay, Inc. are a specific subset of collectors and specialize in all debts relating to Workman’s Compensations patients who receive in office dispensed medication. The first step of a Billing/Insurance Analyst is to contact insurance companies and claim adjusters to verify the status of reimbursement on unpaid claims that are aged over 45 days. This is accomplished mainly via telephone contact and/or verification from Insurance Company Provider Portals. If a claim is denied, the Billing/Insurance Analyst will obtain the Explanation of Benefits from the Claims Adjuster, as well as prepare and submit the necessary appeal to obtain reimbursement. The Billing/Insurance Analyst will assign a ‘Claim Status’ and provide ‘Notes’ in the billing software for all actions taken on a patients claim. The Billing/Insurance Analyst will continue to monitor the claim until reimbursement is obtained, or determination of the claim is rendered non-compensable. Billing/Insurance Analysts are responsible for all functions related to the collection on patient claims. Duties are generally assigned on a primary basis, but all personnel are cross-trained and may perform functions in the various business segments. Overview
Global insurance support function reporting to and working directly with the Global Director of Risk Management. The role will be administrative as well as technical in nature and will provide opportunities for continued growth / personal development in all areas of Risk Management.

Primary Job Responsibilities
- Working with our Global Insurance Broker
- Address global insurance questions from inter-company employees (all coverage lines)
- Contract Review:
- Review insurance requirements to support TDW's job bidding process as assigned by the Director of Risk Management
- Confirm required insurance coverage is in place and that the insurance requirements are acceptable or point out discrepancies to legal
- Certificates of Insurance (COI):
- Review contractual insurance requirements provided by inter-company employees to obtain COI's
- Request COI's from insurance broker and provide to requestor
- Monitor timely receipt of COI's from insurance broker
- Automobile I.D. Cards:
- Work with Fleet Management
- Request proper Proof of Insurance from broker as required and provide to Fleet Management or other Employees (requestor)

- Verify the accuracy of monthly claim and claim service fee billings from TPA
- Assist with trend analysis and report preparation for HSE / HR
- Facilitate two monthly open claim meetings (reserve analysis and claim updates)
- Work with Legal, HR, HSE, and Finance / Accounting (reserve adequacy)
- Risk Management Data Management / Administration:
- File Management including contract reviews, COI's, automobile I.D. cards, billing, insurance premium allocation, surety, claims, insurance policy audits, insurance policy files, insurance policy endorsements, insurance program renewals, and special projects (all applicable files / information managed by Risk Management)
- Annual Insurance Program Renewals:
- Attend internal and broker lead renewal strategy meetings
- Internal - round up renewal information requested by broker (submission data)
- Review and organize submission data
- Provide submission data to broker
- Post program renewal binding activities such as COI's, Auto I.D. Cards, Binders, and Billings etc.
- Set up new policy files (electronic)
